I'm back from my week away and I have the most amazing agility round up.

DINAs is an amazing show such a huge atmosphere and so friendly and organised from dinas leagues to champ classes and everything in between.

For Saoirse and I it was the biggest show shes been to at grade 7 and to come away with places I couldn't be happier.

Then there's these guys......

Jules and Daphne came 4th in the crufts novice cup qualifier and 3rd in 3-5 agility

Jo and ziggy 2nd in 3-4 agility and cr 3-4 agility.

Melissa and cooper 2nd place and made the medium 5-6 final taking 3rd place overall.

Helen and Ivy 2nd 5-6 agility cr in both avc agility and abj jumping also putting them in the dinas abc final and smashing 3rd place overall.

And whilst we were at dinas some of the others enjoyed shows closer to home ......

Sophie and Lucy 1st in 6-7 agility and 6-7 jumping getting both strike 1 and 2 towards grade 7 and 2nd 6-7 agility.

And to finish the list

Christine and Ted 1st in 4-5 agility taking them to grade 5 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊

Something happened on today's session πŸ€”

The dogs had strong emotions to the lake, we will never know why but they were all very cautions to go near.

But what also happened is when they investigated they got straight back to finding their target and claiming that food.

When we really tap our dogs into truly using their whole capacity of tracking/trailing their scent picture becomes so much more detailed, a dog out on a walk may not have noticed this but our mantrailing dogs certainly did.

What a fabulous morning.
The sky was full of clouds and a great temperature to train.

This 3 hour group session was to look at at course options, explore different skills, create different lines and put into practice.

Opening up a handlers view on choices on course can widen their thought process.

How a choice at one point in a course can create influence the choices in another further along.

Really great session pushing handlers to think through decisions rather than sticking to the most obvious.

Last few weeks have been incredibly difficult with the heat and ground conditions.

May handlers limiting what runs they and choosing wisely for their dogs to withdraw when needed.

Even with this they all managed some wonderful runs and places.

Including Zu's very first clear round πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ
