Important Announcement

I’m in tears writing this but I would like to inform all clients and followers I will be stopping all services (except pet sits that are currently booked in) and Westy Walkies will be closed until further notice due to personal issues and no vehicle 🚗

This has been a difficult decision, and I want to thank every one of you for your continued support, trust, and the wonderful pets I’ve had the pleasure of caring for I’ve loved all your pets I’ve been lucky enough to have crossed paths with!

If and when services resume in the future, I will be sure to update you.

I will drop all keys back as soon as I can 🔑

Hey unfortunately I won’t be doing walks the next couple days as my van (again) has decided to break on me I’ve taken it to the garage today but they want it back tomorrow to figure out the issue so as of now I won’t be doing walks until Friday but I will keep updated as I’m not sure on when it will be fixed!

Please read this and understand if dogs walks are cancelled in these temperatures! I totally agree with this post and will be putting your dogs best interest first I would much rather miss a walk than put your dog in danger!!

☀️ Heat Warning – Please Read 🐾

At 10:50am it’s already 26.5°C, and it’s only getting hotter. Our dogs are not acclimatised to these conditions, and exposing them to this kind of heat — especially during walks — is extremely dangerous.

We’ve made the responsible decision to cancel all walks. Daycare dogs are safe and cool. This isn’t about profit — it’s about protecting your dogs from the very real risk of heatstroke.

If you’re considering walking your dog in this heat — or allowing a walker who’s still operating in peak temperatures — please take a moment to rethink. A dog won’t suffer from missing a walk, but they can suffer or even lose their life from one that takes place in unsafe conditions.

We’ll always put your dog’s welfare first — even when it means saying no.
