Our Story

The Start of a Journey and friendships for life.

It was back in 2006 that my life with Sam began when he chose me to become his new owner and making my home his new forever home; a little bundle of black and tan joy was to become my best friend and the start of a chapter in my life that I’ll never forget.

Sam was my Rottweiler and during his early years Sam was very poorly and I, along with our fantastic vet at the time, nursed him back to full health and he repaid me time and time again throughout his eleven years that we had together, supporting me through some very challenging times in my own life and just being the one consistency and confidant that I needed.

Sam was joined by Sheba (another Rottweiler) in August 2011 when she needed a new forever home and knowing how laid back and placid Sam was, I just knew they would make the perfect partnership and companion to one another.
Unfortunately, Sam lost a very short battle with a very aggressive cancer back in 2017 and we had to say our goodbyes; a bond had been broken and a break that just ripped my life apart but, it was amazing to see how Sheba suddenly stepped out of Sam’s shadow to pick up the mantle of supporting me whenever I needed her; she knew her time had come to look after me just as her brother had done for so many years before.

Recently it was time for Sheba to say her goodbyes; mentally full of life and still very much fully switched on to the promise she’d given Sam to support me she, at 14 years old, was just no longer physically up to the task but, after more tearful goodbyes there hasn’t been a moment that’s gone by where I don’t reflect on what amazing and loyal dogs I have had the privilege of having in my life.

Having mooched around the house for a few months it is now the time for me to renew my enthusiasm for life and introduce Ted. Ted is a young, vibrant and energetic young Rottie who just has so much character that it’s hard to put in to words and so; I’d like you to join us on our adventures as we bound around England’s North Downs and share with you some of these ventures along with the beautiful sites that we are blessed to see every day and ultimately share with you the place that we call home and make Ted and England’s North Downs as much a part of your life as they are mine
