🚨 New UK Dog Law Update – Livestock Worrying 🚨

As responsible dog owners, it’s more important than ever to understand the new laws around livestock worrying here in the UK.

Recent updates mean stricter rules and increased powers for authorities when dogs are found chasing, attacking, or even just disturbing livestock such as sheep, cattle, and horses. This doesn’t just apply in fields — it includes
footpaths and public rights of way too.

🐑 What counts as livestock worrying?

🦴Chasing or attacking livestock
🦴Being off lead near livestock and not under control
🦴Causing stress or injury to animals (even without contact)

⚖️ What could happen?
Fines, prosecution, and criminal records
Dogs can be seized
In serious cases, dogs may be destroyed

💡 What you can do:
✔ Keep your dog on a lead around livestock
✔ Practice a solid recall and impulse control
✔ Be aware of your surroundings on walks
✔ Respect signage and farmer guidance
