BIRTHDAY GIRL

happy 8th birthday Marcy what can I say a pillar of ElysiuM k9 uk.

A fantastic stooge who has helped so many dogs and continues to help them reach there potential!

She is truly my soul dog deep down and I owe her so much.
She has showed me how to truly read and assess dogs her presence is both calming and controlled and this will be her retirement tour this year and well earned indeed.

I’m sure many of you who have or are working with me will also pay testament to her.

So three cheers for Marcy happy 8th birthday my ride or die and colleague!

A DAY WITH ELVIS !

So I had the absolute pleasure of having elvis the cocker spaniel along for a day train this week!

We covered
•exposure to new environments
•leadwork
•manners around other dogs
•recall

And finding some nice woods for this little guy to really stretch those genetics with natural enrichment.

A great day all round for myself and elvis and for me to put the work in with him on his family’s behalf. He is progressing so well and really is a credit to his family.

DAY TRAIN WITH SOCKS

Combating the very intermittent weather me and socks undertook some exposure training in many different environments. This was key to finding where the wheels come off for this loveable big guy and where he felt most comfy.

He was and absolute star and really give the day his all.
Superb to work with and done his family proud looking forward to seeing his progress.

DAY TRAIN WITH ARTHUR

Quality day out and about with Arthur getting some solid work done with this lovely chap !

The special of the day was control of his arousel.
Showing where and when he could push it to the limit and when to wind it in and become an observer to society.

Arthur put in a fantastic shift today bless him looking forward to the next one and seeing him in obedience groups at the weekend!

A DAY WITH LOLA

Had an absolutely fantastic day with Lola today proofing her behaviours in many different environments including my own home with my daughter and dogs.

She had an absolute blast learning new ways into which maintain composure in this ever changing world !

A day with the majestic Ocho on her day train programme

We spent time covering her favourite thing to do exploring, settling in public areas having a well earned rest and people watching which is a Gsd’s favourite past time. Touch of obedience and some well deserved play !

New obedience group !

So today kicked off our latest obedience group and these guys know how to have fun with their dogs.

This week we worked on holding positions whilst other people and dogs were the distraction.

We tried our very best to mock up distractions from people on day to day walks from ‘it only wants to play to the super over friendly people.

I haven’t had that much of a laugh in a long time and these guys will go far and are such a privilege to work with.

They have worked hard through our progression system to get here and now the fun begins!

MEET ELVIS !

So we had elvis in for his first session today !

Hearing of elvis’s journey so far is just incredible how many people have given up on him.
Removed from a daycare for being too much and also given up by a home stay while his family were away is absolutely heartbreaking to hear for his family.

Now elvis is such a lovely dog very keen to please . Yes very energetic with no boundaries in place he will be a handful.

We got straight to work first of all on his lead pulling and general attention to his family.

We implemented very clear communication with him and cleaned up communication and lead handling and elvis then started to take food as a reward.

With him being slowed down and with his new ability to be able to listen his family started to enjoy his company again.

A great start for this little dude and his lovely family early days yet but with consistency and dedication they will be well on there way.

Morale of this story is being told he is too much but people that are supposed to be good at what they do is just not good enough.
