I've decided that the next 3 grooms booked for June will do a little more than just make cats look fabulous.

💖 50% of the grooming fee from each of these 3 appointments will be donated to a charity chosen by the client. 💖

So not only will your cat leave looking and feeling amazing, you'll also be helping a fantastic cause at the same time.

🐱 Cats Protection Helping cats and kittens across the UK through rescue, rehoming and welfare work. They provide care for thousands of cats every year and work tirelessly to improve feline welfare.

Sadly have to report someone has witnessed a cat being ran over just past the coop on Ashburton road Hugglescote.
No collar, the cat is described as slightly fluffy, black with brown speckles.

🐾 A Small Change to My Booking Policy 🐾

After a lot of thought and consideration, I've decided that going forward all grooming appointments at The Pampered Panther will require a £20 deposit at the time of booking.

This will apply to all clients and all grooming appointments, not just new customers.

The only exceptions will be nail trims and gland appointments, which will continue to be booked without a deposit.

This wasn't a decision I've taken lightly.

Like many small businesses, every appointment slot is valuable. When appointments are cancelled at the last minute or clients don't turn up, it's not simply an empty space in my diary. It's time that could have been offered to another cat in need of grooming, often from a waiting list of owners looking for appointments.

Unfortunately, last month alone, missed appointments and late cancellations left me around £600 down in earnings. As a small independent business, that's a significant amount and simply isn't sustainable long term.

The deposit isn't intended as a penalty. It's there to help secure bookings and reduce the number of no-shows and last-minute cancellations that affect the running of the salon.

A Reminder About My Cancellation Policy

No-shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will continue to require full payment of the appointment fee.

This policy has always been in place because, in most cases, there simply isn't enough time to fill that appointment slot. Once that time has gone, the income from that appointment is gone too, despite the space having been reserved.

I completely understand that genuine emergencies can happen, and I will always try to be fair and reasonable where appropriate. However, frequent last-minute cancellations and missed appointments have a significant impact on a small business and on other clients who may have been waiting for an appointment.

As always, I appreciate your understanding and support.
