ROR National Champs what a great show and what a fantastic time we had🥳🐎💚 long post sorry!

We had an early start on Friday morning for minty to strut his stuff in the Novice dressage final where he danced his way to 9th place🎉 in a very strong class of over 30 starters!

Friday night we had Boris airlines in the 90 challenge class where he jumped a lovely clear, did a nice show to finish 3rd🙌🏻

Saturday came along another fairly start for the big finals for Boris😬 he jumped another great clear in the challenge class so got invited back for the individual show where he then got pulled in for the top 10 and into the evening performance🫢 again out of a super strong big class🙌🏻

Quick rest and change of tack we headed off for the veteran final! Where he managed to keep his cool in the huge class, do his show strip for confirmation and wait for the results where again he got in the top 10 and into the evening performance which I couldn’t believe as it was a class full of amazing horses I thought we’d be out of our depth🫣

Our first evening performance all we knew it was going to be loud and lots of clapping (which Boris isn’t sure of) but out he went for both of his classes behaved perfectly! Even when people did clap and managed to get placed 6th in the challenge and 5th in the veteran!🥳

Over the moon with all the results for the boys they’ve done me proud!💪🏻 to have them both at a national championship and both to get top 10 placing I’ll take that🥂

Couldn’t have done it without the best friends and support team so thank you so much! Roll on next year!🏇🏻

Busy weekend with two shows🐴
First up Lily competed in her first ever show doing the fancy dress class on board the brilliant Alfie, also the show her great grandad was president of so had to be her first one to go🥰

Then it was Boris’s turn where he put his best hoof forward and won both his classes🥇 then overall veteran champion🏆 couldn’t be more pleased with how he’s looking and going at the minute🥳

Boris having a go at our first BS show, just winging it jumping on a ticket and not really knowing what the crack is🤣 but he jumped two lovely clears and behaved himself🥳

Definitely ready to step back up to the bigger classes as he jumped round the 90 with ease and better with them bigger💪🏻

Great day at the ROR show at Aintree International Equestrian Centre with minty for 2 novice tests, picking up a win and a 3rd with some brilliant scores again🥳

Always love watching the ex racehorses doing dressage in all levels it shows how amazing they are to go from running fast in straight lines to doing fancy movements and learning what a circle is🤣

Massive thank you Izzy Jenkinson for coming with us & getting him ready while I went on a boot hunt (yes I forgot them so new pair was bought😩)

And huge thanks as well to Megan White & Phillip Dennis for keeping him ticking over while I had a few days in the sunshine very grateful🥰

Cheshire Show 2025 will be one we won’t forget🏆

Boris picked up a win in the racehorse to show horse qualifier to gain his ticket to The London International Horse Show in December🥳 (still can’t believe it will be going to our biggest show yet🫣) as he’s such a legend he also picked up 3rd in the light weight hunter and another win with .jenkx in the veteran class who rode him brilliantly for her first show at this level🙌🏻

Great day despite getting a bit soggy with great friends🥰

Minty representing our riding club at the horse trials finishing 5th🙌🏻He got a PB of the year dressage of 29💪🏻 unfortunately went back to his pole knocking ways and knocked 2 👎 which meant I just took him steady cross country on the hard ground for him to jump clear just get some time penalties⏰ On to the next one now and some show jumping practice! Huge thank you to super groom Nicky Jenkinson for all your help we’re very lucky🥰
