With Easter just around the corner, it's important to be aware of potential dangers to your pet when feeding them human food, and hot cross buns are no exception. The dough used to make hot cross buns contains yeast, which can cause digestive upset, bloating, and even alcohol poisoning in pets. Additionally, the raisins and currants used in hot cross buns can be toxic to pets, potentially leading to kidney failure.

As a general rule, it's best to avoid feeding your pet any human food, including hot cross buns. If you're worried that your pet has eaten a hot cross bun, please contact us.

Did you know that our Registered Veterinary Nurses support the wound management of our patients...

🩹 They are skilled in cleaning wounds to prevent infection and applying appropriate dressings to promote healing.

🩹 Our nurses keep a close eye on the wound's progress, ensuring that it is healing properly and making any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan.

🩹After surgical procedures, they play a crucial role in post-operative wound care, ensuring that the wound heals effectively and the pet is recovering well.

🩹 Our nurses are here to support pet owners and to share best practices. They also educate on how to care for their pet's wounds at home, including dressing changes, signs of infection to watch for, and when to seek veterinary attention.

To learn more about our clinics, visit our website or speak to a member of our team.

Protect your dog from Kennel Cough! 🐶💉

Kennel cough is like the common cold for dogs - highly contagious and easily spread in places like dog parks, daycare, and boarding facilities. It’s transmitted through airborne droplets and shared items like water bowls and toys.

Signs to watch for...
🔹 Persistent, forceful cough (dry or productive)
🔹 Runny nose, sneezing, or eye discharge
🔹 Mild lethargy in some cases

Why vaccinate...
✔️ Helps prevent severe coughing & discomfort
✔️ Reduces the risk of infection in social settings
✔️ Protects vulnerable dogs (puppies, seniors)

💉wil Is your pet due for their vaccination? If you have a new puppy or need a booster, get in touch with our team.
