Penshaw Equestrian Centre - Changing Lives through Horses

Last day of the half term at our alternative provisions and 2 of our young people braved the radio 1 big weekend road closures to enjoy a day of pony play in the sun listening to some tunes!!!

Our horses were all in the festival spirit and enjoyed the dress code!!!

Big shout out to Shannon,.. if it wasn't for all of your hard work in the office we would never have got our trackers to the BHS!!!

Fly high Aloe 😇
Thank you for being the best boy through all of ur sessions 🥰🥲🌈

In the time we have had him our lovely Aloe has had several stints in hospital due to stomach problems ❤️‍🩹
Sadly despite the vet’s doing all they could for him this time he couldn’t be saved 😢
We are all devastated.
Sleep tight big fella.
We shall miss you 💔

📺 We were proud to be featured on The One Show last night 🐎 Our Head of Business Support, Sarah Dale, spoke about making riding more accessible so that more can experience the feeling that horses and people share.

Hearing Deborah Meaden and Kelly Reilly speak about what horses mean to them was a powerful reminder of the bond we’re protecting.

As Kelly shared when talking about being able to ride when filming Yellowstone
“Horses were a passion of mine before acting… If someone had said to me when I was 14 with my horse Charlie in a field that I was going to be doing another job and still being able to ride, I wouldn’t have believed it.”

Deborah speaks about a mission to make riding schools and horse riding more accessible to young people. Thank you to BHS Approved Barnwell Equestrian Centre for being part of the feature.

Harley Bear, we thank you so much for all of your hard work at the centre and dedication to giving us all so much love. You were always a true gentleman, always honest and looked after every rider, and never needed to be asked for the most precious hugs 🥰

Go steady over that rainbow bridge you beautiful soul 🌈💫🦄

We have some heartbreaking news to tell you.
Yesterday our superstar Harley passed away.
In his time at PEC he had become a firm favourite with many of you and he will be greatly missed by us all 💔
Thank you for everything Harley ❤️
