🐾💜 A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO JOINED US AT OUR DOG SHOW! 💜🐾
What a fantastic afternoon we had on Sunday 30th August! 🐶🎉

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along, entered their four-legged friends, cheered from the sidelines and helped make our Dog Show such a wonderful success. 🥰

We had so many fabulous dogs (and their equally fabulous humans!) taking part in our categories. From the Musical Sits and Best Sausage/Ball Catcher to our Puppiest Puppy, Golden Oldie, Best Trick, Temptation Alley and, of course, Best in Show — there were plenty of wagging tails and happy faces! 🏆🐕❤️

A special thank you to everyone who helped organise and run the event, our wonderful volunteers, and of course our fantastic Animal Destitute Centre and Lee Lane Pet Shop for supporting the show and helping us make it happen. Also, Millie at Wags and whiskers dog groomers couldn’t have done it without you! 🐾

Most importantly, thank you to YOU for coming along and supporting the Festival of Horwich. Your enthusiasm, smiles and waggy-tailed companions made the day so special! 💙💜

🎉🐾 FESTIVAL OF HORWICH 2026! 🐾🎉

We’re so excited to be heading to the Festival of Horwich this Bank Holiday Sunday! 💙

Hi to all Curly Tails customers another week, another ankle update.
Good news, on friday the consultant said he was happy for me to weight bear with the help of this very attractive boot 👍🏻🤷🏻‍♀️
Its all progress .. so am hobbling around now on my crutches. Its a step closer to getting back to work with my little furry pals 😊❤️
Nicole and Millie are still helping me out and doing a great job, I can't thank them enough.
Hope to see you all very soon thankyou for all your good wishes they really are much appreciated xx

Dear customers,

with the hot weather over the next couple of days we appreciate that you will be considering cancelling appointments. Please know we completely understand as it is so warm and we do not recommend taking your dogs outside for walks in this heat. That being said we are fully booked for 4-5 weeks and our next availability is August. Therefore we recommend carrying your dogs to and from the shop if possible, wearing shoes to protect their paws from the hot floor and making sure your air con is fully functioning when travelling to the shop in your car.

We are keeping the salon open as we have good airflow through the shop, air con units and we appreciate that a lot of your dogs will benefit from a short summer cut.

We are recommending all customers choose a short length to help with their dog’s body temperature as a fluffy coat is unnecessary in the summer. For your dogs welfare, short cut is the best option.

Please also note, we are using cool water and cool air to dry your dogs. We are letting all our customers know some areas will remain damp as thoroughly drying them is unnecessary in this heat. We are making sure we get our grooms completed faster for you and we hope you can be on time for collection so your doggies can get home asap.

Please do not walk your dogs in this heat they need early morning or late evenings. Heat stroke in dogs is extremely dangerous. Dogs lose their heat through their breathing, belly’s and paws. We recommend all dogs have short cut on their belly’s and have access to cool water that they can lie in.
