Exciting news from NT Equine and ‘The Stables’

We are pleased to announce that Natalia and Chloe are operating from Pitchwood Stud.

We will both continue to run our own ventures from Pitchwood Stud whilst supporting each other in our respective businesses.

NT Equine, run by Natalia Thorpe will continue to produce good quality horses and ponies, offer sales livery and a completely independent horse sourcing service. We are here to advise and guide you and go with complete impartiality to view horses or source horses for
you!

'The Stables Pitchwood', run by Chloe Basal (nee Finch) has been launched after closing “The Stables
Ash Place”.

Chloe offers a specialised livery, primarily for children and teens with a varied approach and accompanied, encouraging trips to shows, pony club, hunting and the beach as well as in house lessons, clinics and camps.

The yard has a brand new, fibre surface arena, XC course, full set of showjumps, horse walker, 24hr supervision and good turnout.

Chloe has run a riding school previously from Ash Place in Barns Green and Bridge House Near Horsham. However, due to the current Covid-19 situation, Chloe will only be offering lessons (on your own horse or pony) as well as offering pony shares.

The Stables, Pitchwood, is a child friendly environment, with all the facilities you could need, and give professional care and assistance to all our clients and their best friends.

This new partnership will produce greater efficiencies as combined, Natalia and Chloe bring over 30 years experience in the equestrian industry.

Our clients will continue to receive the same high quality service, which they have come to expect.

Hi all

I am debating whether to carry on teaching and feel the right thing to do would be to cancel all lessons.

We have social responsibility to each other and the wider community and I also don't know how I can do safety checks on tack etc from 2 meters away.

I hope you all understand.

This is just a dreadful situation for us as a business, but vital we protect each other and our communities by staying away and staying safe.

Hi all

Following the BHS updated guidelines;

- we will be offering PRIVATE or SEMI PRIVATE lessons only
- every day next week from 1-4pm. Please book in via WhatsApp 07779313865. We will confirm lesson times the night before but please let us know if you require a specific time and we will do our best
- owners and sharers will be able to be left unattended between 12 and 4 every day next week

All clients must adhere to the governments social distancing guidelines.

Monday 17th February 2.30pm – 4.30pm – Own a pony afternoon. Ride and hack and pony care.

Tuesday 18th February 11.30am – Advanced hack £15 with own horse £20 with school horse. Walk trot canter.

Wednesday 19th February 2.30pm – Gridwork group. Owners Loaners and sharers only. £10

Thursday 20th February ALL DAY. Day trip. Owners, loaners and sharers only.

Friday 21st February 10.30 – Novice hack. £15 with own horse £20 with school horse.

Sunday 23rd February 11.30 – Clear round jumping. £5/round.

We are so delighted that people are booking in for lessons 😁

If you ride or have ridden at another riding school and are coming to us, please let us know at time of booking.

We have been told by multiple trusted people of another riding school that currently has strangles at the yard and are still trading. This may or may not be the case however we would prefer you to inform us. As you can imagine we are very aware of biosecurity and do not wish to put our horses or business at any risk.

To our loyal and wonderful clients and friends.

Thank you for your Patience and support over the past three months.

An update...

In December we blood tested the entire yard. Anything that had shown any exposure to the virus was grouped according to the results and turned out.

The yard was then deep cleaned, virkoned and left empty for three weeks.

We then began a long process of gutteral flushing all horses, and testing samples, starting with the cleanest group. This ensures the horses are 'clean' and have had the necessary penicillin/high volume flush.

We believe we have taken every precaution to ensure our yard and horses are healthy.

We are still going through the lengthy testing process on horses that have shown no symptoms in order to be safe and assure everyone that our horses are low risk.

However all horses on the yard are clean. Our quarantine field is away from the yard and there very minimal risk of cross contamination.

Therefore

We are happy to say we will reopen for lessons from Saturday 25th January.

Initially we will be offering only Private and semi private (max. 3) lessons at during the following hours

Monday 4-6.30
Thursday 4-6.30
Saturday 10-3.30

Lesson duration is 40m for a private or 1hr for a semi private lesson.

We will be honouring all pre-paid lessons purchased previously however we will not be in a position to offer any multi-buy deals.

Lessons are £30 if paid at time of booking (in advance) or £35 on the day.

A bit of good news.

We will reopen for riding lessons under the usual timetable in January to allow our horses to recover and regain fitness.

Meanwhile in December we will be offering private lessons by arrangement at £25/30 mins.

All lessons must be paid for on the day. Multibuy packages are only available for usual group lessons and will be honoured in the New Year.

We are on complete lockdown and there will be no lessons for outside clients until we are clear.

*Monday 28th* Spook a pony (we hope not) day. Own your own pony for the day, play halloween games in the school then go for a spooky hack and find some treats and sweets £65 full day £35 half.

*Wednesday 30th October* Halloween hack.
Novices 1pm-2pm walk and trot only £20
Mums welcome for extra £15
Advanced 2pm-3.30pm £25

*Thursday 31st* livery and sharers only
Halloween games including the annual pumpkin elimination and fancy dress, chase me you scary ghost, and pass the severed hand.

*Friday 1st November* we are happy to arrange a morning clinic in either flatwork or jumping with outside instructor however need to know asap what people want to do.
