My goodness, I love this dog. Nothing beats a nice cooling drink and shower after a warm morning walk.

This gorgeous boy’s owner, Sarah, sadly passed away at the end of 2025. Her partner, Steve, has continued to care for him and treats him as one of his own. Though they have both suffered great sadness and loss, I can say firsthand that there is so much love shared between these two. It’s such a beautiful companionship.

Please everyone, stay safe in this heat... the cooler weather is coming!

It’s certainly hot outside at the moment!

As always, Southwater Pet Services will be sticking to veterinary guidance. Unfortunately, this means a lot of afternoon let-outs instead of the usual walks.

If I haven’t already been in touch regarding walks towards the end of the week, it’s because I’m trying to wait for any last-minute changes in the forecast before having to disappoint some of you.

As always, I will NEVER do anything to put your dog at risk.

It’s taken 9½ years of waiting and wanting to do this, but I can finally say that today, I walked a full marathon distance!

Everything lined up perfectly. I had a huge amount of work, lots of fit dogs wanting to walk and, even though I’m ending the day incredibly sore and in quite a bit of pain — especially doing the whole thing with a grade 2 calf tear — I’m absolutely over the moon! I’m going to sleep well tonight!

Just a reminder that Southwater Pet Services is shut tomorrow afternoon for dog walking, as I’m attending a celebration of life, but will be back to normal from Tuesday.

If everyone were as passionate as Sir David Attenborough about the planet and its inhabitants, global warming and extinction wouldn’t be such major issues.

A Happy New Year to all of our clients, friends and followers!

Sorry it's a bit of a late post, we've been down to Bognor Regis for our yearly stroll along the seafront. It was a bit chilly, but much better than previous years in the pouring rain!

Good morning everyone!

I hope you’ve all had a fantastic Christmas and are looking forward to a happy and healthy New Year.

This message comes to you as Tom and I are just about to start our tenth year together as business partners of Southwater Pet Services but as of 31st December 2025 I will be stepping away from our joint business entirely and starting up a new business on my own called Lavender Leads Dog Walking and Care.

I will be specialising in one to one walks and visits for dogs who can’t be group walked.
