Just 7 weeks ago I started offering the emmipet ultrasonic teeth cleaning as a service to my regulars. In that time, not only have we got great results with the toothbrush and some lovely pearly whites going on but I have spotted issues that the emmipet just won't help with and advised a vet visit to a few. A couple of my clients have said the issues would not have been picked up on without the groomer taking a good look. 🦷🪥

As a result of my advice, a couple of dogs have needed some teeth removed and cleaned by the vet. A couple of others have loose teeth and are off for a vet check. I wish I had trained sooner to be fair so that I would have seen the issues sooner. Every dog in for a groom does get a health check and in the past it's been a quick look in their mouths and advised if anything looks as if a vet needs to check but now, whether your dog is down for the emmipet or not, it gets a good look in that mouth as I now have the training. 🦷🪥

I would highly recommend booking in for emmipet sessions, especially with those younger dogs before the build up and periodontal disease is too far for the toothbrush to help. Once they are later stage 2 of periodontal disease onwards, the toothbrush is not the answer but sedation at the vets is the route needed.🦷🪥

🐾Customer Notice for December

FLEAS!!

To all those booked in for a December groom, if you suspect your dog has fleas then please reschedule the groom. Please DO NOT bring your dog to RuffCutz.

My current policy is to charge £10 to cover treating the shed but this does not cover the work involved or loss of earnings. Fleas seem rife this year and the price of flea treatment has shot up. Through December if your dog has fleas, the extra charge will be £20 on top of the groom price.

When a dog comes in with fleas, I then need to reschedule the rest of the days grooms to be able to flea bomb the shed and disinfect. I have no space to reschedule during December. As everyone is aware I have no side access so your dog walks through my home. It takes seconds for a flea to jump from your dog to one of mine or my house. So I therefore not only have to treat the shed, I have to treat my house and bath my own dogs. I am running a business and feel this is necessary to protect all clients as a flea infestation is a nightmare as many of you know.

My late cancellation policy stands. Please allow 48 hours to allow me to fill the spot.

I love a before and after. Mabel ❤️

Gold star to her hoomans for listening to their groomer after Mabel had to go short short last visit. She is not the easiest for them to brush but they have done their homework! A knot free Mabel (apart from ears but she is a work in progress). Mabel was brave today and left looking and smelling gawjuss❤️🐾😊

The next emmipet teeth cleaning day is the 6th February 2024. This is for the initial session and to then commit to weekly/fortnightly sessions until we have cleaned off all build up. We can then go to a 15 minute clean with your grooms 🦷🪥

Bertie boy was in for the full works today. A groom with teeth cleaning added on. This was his second session and he was a right fidget first session. I didn't even take before photos as didn't think we would make much progress today......Bertie surprised me though 🤣. A few seconds on the tooth each time and hey presto, the plaque flicked off . Well done Bertie ❤️🦷🪥😊

Coco was in for the full works today with her groom and teeth cleaning. Fabulous pearly whites and we will keep on top of them every 6 weeks with her grooms 🦷🪥❤️

Lottie was in for her regular slot and is booked in for January to start her teeth cleaning journey along with her sister Maisie. 🦷🪥❤️

Millie comes every 4 weeks for her tidy up and mum wants to book in for teeth cleaning next year 🦷🪥❤️

EMMIPET ULTRASONIC TEETH CLEANING

🦷Had a few enquiries today so below is the pricing structure.

🦷🪥£40 for 1 hours initial session to include toothbrush head
🦷🪥£25 for 45 min weekly sessions until build up removed
🦷🪥£10 for 15 min maintenance sessions added on grooms

🦷If you are not prepared for weekly sessions then the removal of build up will take far longer with more sessions as it obviously builds back up inbetween cleans.

🦷Results have been great so far with the majority of dogs needing a few sessions to clean the teeth to get them to the maintenance stage.

My gorgeous Granddoggy Maggie was my christmas trial for Mr Claus shampoo and Christmas Spice spritz which smells delicious.

Maggie went short today as apparently she is a dick for her mummy when she sees a brush😂. She was knot free but short means less hassle. We even had a session with the emmipet toothbrush. Maggie is always an angel for me though 🤣❤️🐾🎄🎅🐾

🦷Every dog is different and the results depend on many factors, age, build up, compliance to name a few.

🦷The photos below are a of few of my regulars that have opted for taking up teeth cleaning with me. Most are on maintenance sessions now with their grooms after just a few sessions. The feedback from owners has been very positive.

🦷The response from everyone has been great and I have had to order more brushheads to accommodate appointments.

Lola, Nala and Coco were in today for their emmipet sessions and great progress with all of them.

Coco and Nala are both in next week for their grooms and have added a maintenance session to their appointment. Just a couple of little stubborn bits that will come free 🦷🪥. Both will be on maintenance with grooming and thats just 2 sessions for Nala.

Lola was in for her second session today and we are going onto maintenance sessions with her grooms now as with the help of the orozyme gel, we have pearly whites going on🦷🪥

I am so impressed with the emmipet as all of these girls had a fair bit of build up. Hopefully their hoomans feel this is money well spent and cost effective in the long run.

We will be keeping that tartar and gum disease at bay with the emmipet teeth cleaning maintenance added onto their grooms and hopefully their vets will be pleased at the care taken of these pearly whites 🦷🪥❤️

My little salon is already for a day of teeth cleaning tomorrow. Organisation means an extra half hour under the duvet 🤣. As much as I love the grooming, a day of no hair everywhere is lovely too. 🦷🪥😊❤️

🐾Customer Notice

I am now fully booked until mid January 2024!! I have 3 spots left at the end of January.

As much as I like to keep my regulars happy and on their desired schedule, I cannot always do so and I am not chasing those individual few to block book. So if you have your last appointment at the end of November, beginning of December 2023 and you have not asked to book for 2024, I will be unable to do a 6/8 week schedule for your first appointment in 2024. So please ensure you have that brush and comb prepped ready for those weeks inbetween your longer grooms.

I highly recommend pre booking a few appointments in advance as in 2024 I am sticking to my own working schedule so that my body does not give out on me.

A big thank you for keeping me as busy as I am and I am currently not taking on new clients. 🐾❤️😊

A day of pearly whites at RuffCutz with Toby, Bertie, Lola and Luna. 🦷🪥❤️

What's the hardest part of teeth cleaning I hear you ask?? That would be the one handed before and after pics of teeth.....I need a training course. 🦷🪥❤️

Toby and Lola have been using orozyme gel, both before and inbetween sessions and it definitely speeds up the process and they will be on maintenance sessions sooner than I expected 🦷🪥❤️

Bertie and Luna both took orozyme home with them to use (with the help of their hoomans) before their next session. 🦷🪥❤️
