☀️🐶 HOT WEATHER ALERT: Keep Your Dog Cool This Summer 🐾

When temperatures rise, our furry friends can struggle to stay comfortable. Here are some simple ways to help your dog beat the heat:
💧 Always provide fresh, cool water
🌳 Walk early morning or late evening to avoid hot pavements
🧊 Use cooling mats, frozen treats, or damp towels
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked car — even for a minute
🐾 Check pavements with your hand before walks (if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them)
✂️ Keep grooming up to date, including home grooming / brushing
🏖️ Create shady spots in the garden or outdoors
🧩 Stimulate them with low-exertion, brain-taxing games. Mental enrichment can tire a dog as much as a walk.
⚠️ Watch for signs of heatstroke:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy
• Vomiting
• Difficulty walking
If you notice these symptoms, move your dog somewhere cool, offer water, and contact your vet immediately.
