Houdini (don’t worry, he’s not an escape artist) was found in the city by one of the shelter volunteers, along with his mum and sister. When they were taken to the shelter, mum was found to be microchipped. Our rescuers found the owner who didn’t want them back. Lovely Houdini is a very handsome boy - who gets on well with people and the other dogs at the shelter.

Shah: 18 months - medium - for adoption

Shah was rescued when one day a concerned passer-by rang the shelter to say there was a dog hiding under a car because some large dogs were trying to attack it. Our rescuers went out, found him and took him back to the shelter to safety. Shah is a sweet, friendly, playful boy, good with all people and the other dogs.

We really need to find Nea a permanent home..

When Nea came to her uk foster, she took about a week before she would come anywhere near the family, she would hide away in her safe crate looking scared. Now she has become a delightful, affectionate girl with her two fosters but she needs to go to someone who understands this and will give her time to adjust and not push her or invade her space before she’s ready. Once she came around, she turned into the happiest dog who loves a cuddle and to play. She is fine with one of the dogs she is living with, but doesn’t like the other one at all. For that reason we are looking for an adult only home with no other dogs, cats or children. In the house she’s really quiet and can happily be left in a crate or be left loose for a few hours. Also, she absolutely loves going out on walks. She can be wary of some strangers so she needs a dog savvy adopter who knows how to work with this. Her ideal companion would be someone who leads a fairly quiet life but likes going on long walks or hikes!!!
Nea is 5 years and medium size.

Ozzy: 3 months ( can travel at 4 months) - medium

Ozzy was found abandoned in a car park. He is being fostered by a young couple. A smart dog, he has already picked up basic commands, is doing well with house training and is walking on the lead. He is being well socialised, lives with other dogs and and cats and all in all is a well rounded, sweet boy with a great temperament.

Rory: 2 years - small (27cm) - for adoption

Rory’s owners left the country to work abroad and left him in the care of a neighbour who didn’t look after him and he ended up on the streets. To cut a long story short, his original owners were eventually contacted and they asked us to find a good home for him as they didn’t know how long it would be before they returned. Now he is living in a foster home until he finds a new family. He is really a very handsome and friendly boy who is good with both dogs and cats.

Stiglitz: 2 years - small (28cm) - for adoption

Stiglitz was found abandoned by some friends and is now living in a foster home, with other dogs and cats, until he finds his own home. A little sweetheart, he is very people friendly and loves everyone.

Cezar: 2 years - small - for adoption

Little Cezar was rescued from the public shelter. He is an absolute sweetheart, friendly and loving with all and good with cats. At the moment he is living in a foster home with other dogs until he finds a permanent home. Let’s find him a new home soon.

Iulian (Julian): 3 months ( can travel at 4 months) - medium

Iulian was found in a hollow in the ground on one of the city streets where his mother had given birth to him and his two siblings. Mum is a medium sized Romanian shepherd mix (50cm shoulder height) so we expect her puppies to be of a similar size. At the moment, Iulian is the smallest and the quietist of the three brothers and he definitely loves a snuggle.

Isay was found in a hollow in the ground on one of the city streets where his mother had given birth to him and his two siblings. Mum is a medium sized Romanian shepherd mix (50cm shoulder height) so we expect her puppies to be of a similar size. Isay is a fluffy cuddle monster who also likes to explore and to play with his toys.

Ivan was found in a hollow in the ground on one of the city streets where his mother had given birth to him and his two siblings. Mum is a medium sized Romanian shepherd mix (50cm shoulder height) so we expect her puppies to be of a similar size. Ivan is such a happy puppy who likes to play with his toys but also loves a cuddle. He is a very handsome, beautifully marked boy - we love the freckles on his nose.

Milo: 3 years - small - for adoption

Milo’s owner was arrested and left behind 8 bichons . It was a very sad situation as they had been kept in appalling conditions. Perhaps because of those circumstances, where he had probably not been exposed to visitors, Milo is a bit wary of strangers (though he is selective and is fine with some). He is currently living in a foster home and loves his foster carer. He enjoys playing with the other dogs and is living with cats. Because he is timid we would say no children. In fact, the best home for Milo would be a quiet, calm home where there at not too many visitors. His new adopter should have some experience of owning a dog, be prepared to let Milo take things slowly, not expect too much from him at first and give him plenty of positive reinforcement and slow introductions to new people until he gains confidence.
