☀️💦 HOT WEATHER DOG WALKING PLAN 💦☀️

Looks like the hot weather dog walking plan will be coming into action this week😂 Here is my plan for the very hot days 🐾

As always your dogs safety is my priority🌡️☀️

Some walks in the morning will carry on as normal, depending on the temperature outside. As it gets hotter throughout the day a few walks might turn into home visits or if possible your dogs will be walked in shaded areas, such as the woods and in areas where there's access to rivers, streams etc 💦

There will be many factors to consider when changing a walk to a house visit due to the temperature:
- How fit are the dogs? Are they in good health? (Flat-faced breeds, overweight, thicker/darker fur)
- Are we in a shaded area?
- Is there constant access to water?
- Is it cloudy or windy?
- Is the sun blaring out?
The dogs behaviour and the weather will be monitored on every walk all the time ☀️🐾

Home visits will be kept as mentally and physically stimulating as possible 🐶 If you could leave out any enriching toys or food items for home visits, such as treat games, snuffle mats, frozen lickit mats, filled kongs, frozen food items (carrots, bonios, bananas, melon, doggie ice cream), hose pipes, paddling pools, anything to try and keep them occupied during their visit 😊

If your dog/s won't go to the toilet in the garden they will be taken on a short shaded walk on the lead, with the rest of the walk being made into a visit 🐾

There will be water in the boot of my car at all times for your doggies walks. This will be kept topped up at people's houses to keep it as cool and fresh as possible 💦

Frozen treats are a great idea for your dogs after walk treat to help them keep cool 🧊 As well as towels in the freezer, cooling mats or cooling jackets for after their walks 🧊
