As we enter peak lambing season, it’s more important than ever to keep your dogs on a lead when out exploring the countryside.🐕
Did you know pregnant ewes are especially vulnerable and even just the stress of being chased or worried by a dog can cause them to miscarry or even lead to their deaths. 😔
For a safe and happy outing with your dog, and to ensure we protect both our canines and sheep, be sure to keep your pets under control on a short lead. 🐑🐾🐑
Using a lead helps to protect other livestock and wildlife too, such as ground-nesting birds, that are also vulnerable to worrying by dogs.🪿
