🐾 Notice of Boarding Rate Increase 🐾
1st April 2026

We wish to advise customers that our boarding rates will rise on 1st April 2026 (in accordance with our annual Boarding Rate Review, which takes into account annual increases in external and inflationary costs).

• From 1st April 2026 the daily boarding rate will rise to £32 per day, with a discount of 15% for 2 or more dogs sharing;
• Long stays ie more than 30 days shall be discounted at 15%.;
• Bank Holiday surcharge £15 per kennel;
• Where we offer occasional daycare this will be at £24 per day with a 10% discount for 3 or more days per week.

We know that this is a larger annual increase than in previous years and trust that you understand that it is necessary to provide you and your pet with the quality of service and care that you have come to expect from us. However, if you wish to cancel your booking with us, including over the summer we are happy to refund your deposit in full.

PUBLIC NOTICE PLEASE SHARE

Please be advised that we will not be accepting new customers onto our books going forward. We know that demand for kennel space in the North Down area is high due to limited availability, and have not taken this decision lightly. However we need to implement this to maintain our level of service to our existing customer base.

🐾 Full-Time & Part-Time Kennel Assistant Positions 🐾

If you are passionate about working with dogs and enjoy the outdoors we are looking for full-time & also a part-time Kennel Assistant to join our team.

You’ll be responsible for the care and welfare of our boarders, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. You will need to be:

• Hardworking and efficient with common sense & great attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
• Capable of using own initiative and working independently
• Calm under pressure and able to adapt to a quickly changing environment
• Able to work split shifts including weekends
• From the local area or can commute reliably

Responsibilities include:
• Cleaning kennels and maintaining very high hygiene standards
• Feeding and caring for dogs according to their individual needs
• Exercising and socialising dogs in a safe and controlled manner
• Monitoring the health and well being of our boarders
• Ensuring a clean, organised and efficient work environment
• Working as part of a tight-knit team, stepping in where needed to keep operations running smoothly

If you enjoy working with animals & thrive in a busy, team-driven environment we’d love to hear from you. Own transport essential.

We have updated some of our procedures to reduce our administrative workload and kindly ask that you note the following changes.

• Confirmation of Drop off & Collection Times
Please do not call the office if you have already confirmed your drop off & collection times. If you have still to do so, please email the times (am or pm) to [email protected] and we will make a note of them. We ask you to do this by email to reduce the large number of phones calls we receive daily.

• Drop off & Collection
Please do not bring your own foam-filled or soft bedding for your pet's stay as we supply a wide range of suitable beds & bedding. You are however welcome to bring a favourite blanket and / or special toy clearly labelled with your dog's name to help your pet to feel at home. We also supply all water & food bowls. We ask this to help us streamline our drop off & collection system.

• Payment
Payment may be made preferably by Cash, Debit or Credit Card when collecting your pet.

🐾🐾AVAILABILITY UPDATE 🐾🐾

We are now fully booked until the END OF OCTOBER, and also for CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR. If you wish to be added to our waiting list please EMAIL your required dates to [email protected] and IF a space becomes available we will be in touch with you via email.

We appreciate that there is a limited amount of boarding availability in the North Down and the Greater Belfast area. While it has always been our policy to respond to all phone calls received by the end of the day we simply cannot manage the volume of calls we receive daily asking for availability for the NEXT 6 MONTHS.

So please, DO NOT phone the office to check on spaces as the answer will be the same. The most efficient way for us to manage your enquiry is by email.

We would appreciate if you can share this information.
