What a beautiful Autumn day it’s been here @ Jessie’s 🍁🍂.
We’ve had such a busy week with a full house of dogs guests along with our Dog Boarding Licensing inspection visit from Flintshire Council, which we are pleased to say we passed with flying colours! 👏

INFORMATION REGARDING PARVOVIRUS IN DOGS

There have been confirmed cases in Rhyl and Wrexham area.

Parvovirus generally affects unvaccinated dogs, with puppies under six months old being especially vulnerable.

Symptoms of parvovirus include vomiting, bloody diarrhoea and dogs being generally very unwell.

Please make sure your dog’s vaccination is up to-date, with the most recent booster being within the last 12 months.

This provides the best protection against this serious virus.

If you have concerns about your dog, we would highly recommend our clients to contact the surgery.

Over the last couple of days we have had very sad news as three regular customers have let us know their beautiful dogs have sadly gone over the rainbow bridge. Su Lin and Rodney have stayed with us many times over the years and were some of our very first customers at the beginning when we opened. 💕

🍾Happy New Year 🎉

Rich & I would like to thank you for your support through a very busy 2024🐶💕.

Room availability now for 2025 is very limited. We are fully booked from the end of March to second week in November with limited dates around these times.

We will be closed over Christmas and New Year 2025/6.

Due to the lack of room availability I’m sorry but we are not taking new customers on at this time.

We keep our prices as low as possible and are competitively priced but unfortunately due to rising costs across the board especially unbelievably high electricity costs there will be an increase in daily rates for 2025 which can be seen on your booking confirmation emails.

We want to wish you all the best for 2025 with lots of lovely holidays ☀️🏖️✈️ and are looking forward to looking after all your dogs🐶💕

We would like to wish all our customers & dogs a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope Santa Paws visits all our dogs as I’m sure they are on the good list😉. We also want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for keeping us so busy again this year and allowing us to look after your gorgeous dogs.

As is our Christmas tradition and in memory of the dogs who have sadly crossed the rainbow bridge this year we have made a donation to Diane Hart Collie Rescue and Rehab centre. They run an amazing kennel free Collie rescue in Pencader and do a fantastic job with what can sometimes be a quirky but beautiful breed, as I know only too well, with two of my own bonkers Collies🤣. It would be wonderful if you could give their page a follow to support them & to see some of the entertaining videos of their dogs.
So on that note enjoy your Christmas one and all.🎄🎅🏻🐶

Have you heard about the Pet Blood Bank?

Pet Blood Bank is a UK Charity that helps to save the lives of pets in need. The charity was set up to support vets by providing a blood service for pets, just like the one we have as humans. They run donation sessions across the country where owners bring their much-loved companions to give blood. The blood is taken to a processing centre in Loughborough where it is separated into different products. It is then stored and sent out to vets when they need it. It operates 24/7 to ensure blood is always available.

If they get enough registered donors they are hoping to run a donation session at All Pets Vets in Prestatyn and they are looking to raise awareness and recruit donors within the local area.
