Charlotte’s Pawfect Pet Sitting was founded in 2015 after realising how many people were in need of dog walking and pet care without having their pets have to visit kennels or cattery. With growing up with dogs and other small animals I understood how stressful it can be for your pets to travel and stay in confined spaces when they are used to their home comforts. I also realised how important it

is for dogs to be walked or given a toilet break in the daytime whilst people are at work, which is why I decided to start up my own pet sitting and dog walking business along with the help of my parents and partner, who also help me when needed. I now offer home visits for dogs, cats and small animals and dog walking services in and around Holmes Chapel.

Last week I had the pleasure of looking after Spike the bearded dragon while his owners were away. 🦎

People often think pet sitting is all about cats and dogs, but I’m experienced in caring for a wide range of pets, including reptiles, small animals, and other exotic pets too. (Sorry no spiders though) 🙈

Spike was a joy to care for, and it was important to make sure his feeding, heating, and daily routine were all maintained while he was at home.

If you’re planning a holiday, weekend away, or need someone reliable to look after your pets, don’t assume I only care for cats and dogs! Whether they have fur, feathers, or scales, I’d love to help.

The weather has certainly got hotter, so it’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with what temperatures are safe for your dog☀️🐶

Every year our vets treat hundreds of heat stroke cases and, heartbreakingly, some end in tragedy. It's important to know the dangers of exercising your dogs in temperatures to hot for them to handle.

Heat-related illnesses are almost always preventable.
DONT TAKE THE RISK and make sure your pet isn’t overheating in the sun.

Temperatures over 24 degrees will be uncomfortable for most of our dogs, so make sure you are walking them at the coolest times of the day or simply keep them at home and give them some mental stimulation and enrichment things to do instead.

If you think your dog may be suffering from heat stroke, contact your vet immediately! If out-of-hours, find your nearest emergency vet.
