A New Chapter for Langley Hill Livery

After a great deal of thought, I have made the difficult decision to close the livery side of Langley Hill Livery.

This has not been an easy decision. Over the past 8 years, I have had the privilege of caring for some wonderful horses and getting to know some fantastic owners. I would like to sincerely thank all my current and past clients for the trust they have placed in me and for the support they have shown throughout the years.

Like many within the equestrian industry, I have found that rising costs, staffing challenges and the increasing demands of running a livery yard have made it difficult to maintain a sustainable work-life balance while continuing to provide the high standard of care I pride myself on. I know many other yard owners are facing similar challenges.

Although the livery business is coming to an end, Langley Hill isn’t closing.

I’m now looking for a private horse owner or competition rider to take on the yard for sole private use. This is not an opportunity to run a livery business, but rather a chance for someone to enjoy a well-maintained private equestrian facility for their own horses.

The yard offers:

* 8 stables
* Approximately 8 acres of grazing with mains electric
* Floodlit arena with recent new surface
* Hot water wash area
* Solarium
* Heated tack room
* Feed room
* Horsebox and trailer parking
* Quiet, friendly setting in Hertfordshire

👀 Freelance Groom Wanted. 👀

Due to our current wonderful freelancer returning to her non horsey job. We are looking for a reliable, experienced freelance groom to start at the end of July.
This is a sole charge role, working Monday to Friday afternoons for approximately 1½ -2 hours per day. Hours can be flexible for the right person.

The role will include general afternoon yard duties.

You will be handling a variety of horses, so confidence, experience and good horse sense are essential.
We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, reliable and comfortable working independently.

If you are on the look out for a fly spray that actually works I can highly recommend this one!!

It smells great and gets to work straight away. Apparently it lasts up to 7 hours as well!

If I remember rightly there is also a Neem oil and a sensitive version.

* £15 per hour for one horse- £5 per additional horse (includes use of all jump equipment)
