🌞🐾 Hot Weather Alert: Keep Your Pets Safe! 🐶🐱

With temperatures rising, it's important to remember that our furry friends feel the heat much more than we do — and heatstroke can be life-threatening. 💔

🚨If you suspect heatstroke, act fast – “cool first, transport second”🚨
🌀Move your pet to a cool, well-ventilated area or use a fan.
💦Cold water immersion can be effective for young, healthy dogs.
💧For large breeds, older dogs, or those with underlying health issues, pour cool (not ice-cold) water over them instead.
🏥Offer small amounts of water to drink, contact and transport them to your nearest vets immediately.

🎉 Huge congratulations to our amazing veterinary receptionist, Lisa! 🎉
Lisa completed on Saturday the Full Montane Summer Spine Race, a non-stop, 268‑mile challenge along the Pennine Way—often referred to as “Britain’s most brutal".
Hiking the length of England to Scotland in one go is something few can say they’ve done, and we couldn’t be prouder! 🥾❤️

🐾 Rufus is off to Europe! 🧳🐶

Rufus came in today for his Animal Health Certificate — the final step before his big holiday to France!
With his rabies vaccination up to date and microchip details all in order, Rufus sat proudly as the vet checked his paperwork. After a quick health check (and a few belly rubs), his certificate was officially issued.

We had lovely Jaxx in recently with an uncomfortable mass in his mouth. It wasn’t an easy removal, but we’re really pleased with the results.
We hope that he’s enjoying life a bit more comfortably now. 💜
