🩸❤️ When One Dog Helps Another ❤️🩸

Little Tallulah came to see us extremely anaemic and in need of an urgent blood transfusion. Thanks to the kindness of Lochlan, who stepped up as her donor, she received the treatment she needed.

We’re so happy to say she’s feeling much brighter and stronger already 💕

Huge thank you to Lochlan for being such a superstar, and well done to brave little Tallulah. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do 🐾✨

🚨 Helping Brachycephalic Dogs Breathe Easier 🚨
Recently we carried out a BOAS corrective procedure to help one of our lovely patients breathe more comfortably.
The surgery involved:
🔹 Widening the nostrils (nares)
🔹 Shortening the elongated soft palate
🔹 Removing enlarged tonsils and saccules
This condition is common in short-nosed breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, French Bulldogs etc.) and can cause:
✔️ Snoring or noisy breathing
✔️ Difficulty exercising or tolerating warm weather
✔️ Fatigue or even collapse in severe cases
We’re thrilled with how our patient is recovering and look forward to seeing them enjoy a more comfortable, active life 💙

🌞🐾 Hot Weather Alert: Keep Your Pets Safe! 🐶🐱

With temperatures rising, it's important to remember that our furry friends feel the heat much more than we do — and heatstroke can be life-threatening. 💔

🚨If you suspect heatstroke, act fast – “cool first, transport second”🚨
🌀Move your pet to a cool, well-ventilated area or use a fan.
💦Cold water immersion can be effective for young, healthy dogs.
💧For large breeds, older dogs, or those with underlying health issues, pour cool (not ice-cold) water over them instead.
🏥Offer small amounts of water to drink, contact and transport them to your nearest vets immediately.
