What a fun day we had at the North Somerset Agricultural Show today. Lots of laughs with lovely people, excellent judging and informative verbal reasoning ( as usual ) from Judge Tim Hey . Thank you to the show organisers Garry and Andrea
and stewards for a well run show.

We took a small team of six and came home with two 1st places, two 2nd places, a 3rd and a 4th ., with Southern Sands Gary The Gunslinger achieving reserve champion White junior Suri and Southern Sands Full House achieving Reseve champion brown intermediate hucuaya

Also very proud of Toby who entered Junior handler with Southern Sands Lady GaGa and was awarded 1st place in the youngest group.

Luckily the rain held off after a verydamp start, and there was no sign of Darth Vader or Princess Leia.( If you know you know )

Well we had a lovely weekend at the BAS National Show, and we were very pleased to come home with 7 place rosettes and a special junior handler rosette.
As usual it was a very competitive show and the judges had some very hard decisions to make.
We were especially proud of Toby , who at 3yrs old , looked very professional making his debut in the show ring, and Sir Gawain who behaved impeccably for him.
Special congratulations to Bozedown Alpacas for doing the double..Supreme Champion Suri and Supreme Champion Huacaya

Lovely weekend at the Three Counties Showground and very pleased with our results in what was a very competitive show .
Many thanks to judge Mary Jo and assistant judge Kim Murray, for their very informative verbal reasoning, and to the organisers for an extremely well run show.

When you walk into the hall have a scan around at the other exhibitors and your first thoughts are "oh **** (dear)" You dont expect to end up with many rosettes. With a hall full of such quality alpacas and having taken only 2 suris we are very happy with our results.
We ended up with one 1st rosette and six 3rd rosettes, and were really pleased with how well-behaved our weanlings were.
With the highlights being from our 2 huacayas, both Sired by our very own Southern Sands Basil Brush one acheiving 3rd place in a very tough intermediate male fawn class. The other being in the junior light class one of the biggest and toughest classes of the show also acheiving a third!
Congratulations to George Morgan and the Beck Brow team (and his fantastic alpacas) on Supreme huacaya and to Jo Bridge on Supreme Suri and Roger Mount for the well deserved judges choice.

Our results as follows

Suri junior male light
1st place Southern Sands Gary The Gunslinger

3rd place Southern Sands Full House

3rd place Southern Sands Royal Flush

3rd place Southern Sands Fitz the Bill

Suri junior female light
3rd place Southern Sands Goldilocks

3rd place Southern Sands Sir Gawain
