My little home business has now been going for over 30 years, in the last couple of years I have found myself being called the ‘Spider Lady’ more often than not. Trends are continually changing and arachnids are far more popular than they have ever been before. I have a bug room at the side of our house that is dedicated to keeping a multitude of creatures. Since moving out of London in 2003, my

work is mainly postal but I do welcome visitors by appointment. It took me some time to actually reach the 21st century and see the potential of customers ordering online. I am now fully convinced, business has increased tremendously since setting up my first online store in 2009. In October 2012 my current online store went live, the photographs are larger and clearer, the information is more comprehensive and the online ordering is simpler and therefore easier to use. I am still readily accessible by email and telephone and I strive to maintain my position as the most friendly and reliable bug supplier! I do not lie!)

What a wonderful holiday in Cyprus 😍

Sadly time to go home now 😢

We walked miles and saw a lot of wildlife and to my absolute delight, several snakes. I will write a blog post soon and tell you more about our exploits 😊

Last minute check on the bugs and really pleased to see that my beautiful Giant Vinegaroon is carrying another batch of eggs. I read that Vinegaroons only mate once and die after producing young. Clearly not the case 😁 She is the mum of my juveniles born in July 2024.

Couldn’t resist this new nightie for my holiday, what a great message. I will try but relaxing and unwinding is not really my forte 😂

Lovely afternoon at the Kempton Park invert show. The sun was shining and there were lots of interesting bugs to see. I was very good and only bought a few millipedes and cockroaches, plus these fabulous coasters. I’m not sure I need anymore coasters but couldn’t resist them and they don’t need feeding or any care 😄 There were nymphs for sale of these amazing praying mantis. I have never seen or even heard of them before (Metallyticus splendidus). Wow, how special and they definitely were my favourite at the show!

It was great to catch-up with everyone and Bob had a super time, it was his first bug show 🕷️🪳🦋🦂🦗

Spring Spider Sale! (I’m going on holiday next month)

I am continuing to clear stock so I will be reducing many of my tarantulas and I am also open to offers on those tarantulas that are not already reduced. All my tarantulas are captive bred.

I do not s*x tarantulas, I am well aware that ideally, we would all like females however nature does not work like that!

I had plans for my Easter post but the spiders had other ideas 😂 Instead we have who’s in the box! 🕷️🕷️🕷️

Last few day of my 20% discount (details on website). I still have lots of tarantulas to go but my collection is reducing. I was a bit sad when I sent off my last Mexican Red Knee in the week 😢 But life is short and there is only one of me. I’m doing a roaring trade in cockroaches, millipedes and scorpions but it’s time to pack up the tarantulas.

It is certainly Spring! I fed my spider collection today and look at all these beautiful tarantulas in their lovely new coats 🥰

Have you heard of the Windsor Framework? I only heard about it on Facebook a few days ago and then I looked it up on the Royal Mail website. It appears that I can no longer send anything to Northern Ireland 😢 Guess where my all time best customer lives 😔

Onto happier things, all the used Exo Terra vivariums have now sold, my current tarantula offer is going very well 😁🕷️ and it’s finally Spring 🥳 The first frogspawn of the year was laid in my pond yesterday, on the very first day of Spring (more than a month later than last year). Please can we have some warmer temperatures now, especially at night-time so that I can stop using expensive heat packs in my parcels 🙏

I still have plenty of used Exo Terra vivariums. They are now all showing on the ‘collection only’ page of my website. I have also added various arachnids and millipedes that cannot be posted for various reasons.
