We appreciate every single one of you❤️
The amount of love and support we have received over the last few days has been genuinely overwhelming.
From those offering to provide references to individuals reaching out with legal support, kind words and reassurance. We cannot thank you enough. You’ve reminded us that there are still some truly wonderful people out there.
For the last two years, we have faced some incredibly difficult situations. From former employees and ex clients to people we thought were friends to those who have never even met us…there have been repeated attempts to discredit us, question our intentions and undermine everything we have worked so hard to build.
And truthfully? It’s exhausting.
I have never claimed to be perfect. In fact, there was a time when I genuinely disliked the person I had become, the trainer I was and even the business I had built. I’ve been incredibly open about my journey, the mistakes I’ve made and the things I would do differently.
But growth means acknowledging where you went wrong, educating yourself, making changes and becoming better. And that is exactly what we have worked so hard to do.
Tactical Paws today is not the Tactical Paws of several years ago, or even three months ago. Our knowledge has evolved, our methods have changed and our understanding of canine behaviour, welfare and emotional wellbeing has grown enormously.
Unfortunately I have come to realise that no matter how much you change, how much you give or how hard you try there will always be people who choose to remember you as the person you once were. Or the bad person they paint you to be.
You can pour your heart into someones dog, invest your time into someones career and give everything you have to help another person but sometimes when things don’t work out as they hoped none of that seems to matter.
And I’ve had to learn to make peace with that.
We remain hopeful that Buckinghamshire Council will recognise the service we provide today, the ethos we stand by and most importantly the genuine compassion and commitment we have towards every dog in our care.
We have nothing to hide and we are more than willing to demonstrate the standards, welfare and care behind what we do. It is why we offer a free class every month for the public to join.
To those who continue to wish us anything but well, we hold no malice towards you. We genuinely hope that one day you find the peace to move forward. To be kind to others.
But we do ask that the ongoing negativity and personal attacks stop. Behind this business is a real person, a family, someone that struggles with PTSD on a daily basis. Someone that has dedicated years of hard work, sacrifice and dedication to getting things right.
You don’t have to like us. You don’t have to support us. But please allow us the opportunity to move forward and continue doing what we love.
And to everyone who has stood beside us, supported our growth and believed in what we are trying to achieve thank you.
