Some of you may have heard about Peak Cluster and their plan to cause chaos, displace wildlife and ruin our beautiful countryside by building a massive pipeline to take CO2 across the country from the High Peak to the Wirral.. along the way there will be large AGI buildings and inspection values along with the high risk of unproven technology which poses a risk to life should it leak.. and they do leak as has been proven by previous CO2 pipelines.
I don't normally use my business page to share my views on politics, the rich helping the rich (feel free to look into the funding of the pipeline), and other campaigns I'm involved in.. however, this will massively affect us local residents, tourists, local businesses etc and with plans to also store CO2 shipped in from other countries in the future.. it will also at some stage affect you all..
PCs 'consultation period' has been a failure, obviously planned by them to hide the plans as much as possible, they've failed to send all affected households notices, help 'public meetings' when the public can't attend as they're actually out working, and failed to answer many questions when faced with them at the meetings..
Everyone had their own views on CCS, I agree something needs to be done, but there are many other solutions that aren't being looked at, simply as they don't make money.. and the rich richer...
Today is the last day for their 'consultation' for Phase 1... please read the information on the local groups, there is a lot of useful info out there, and complete the questionnaire online to give your view... and please also sign the petition to get this technology researched fully before they risk our safety trying something that has failed in many places previously... the pipeline will be going behind my house, so it it failed, me and my neighbours are at high risk.. its just so sad that money talks more than anything else...
