There’s nothing quite like the bond between us🐈‍⬛

Watching you grow old
is one of the hardest things I’ve known.
Seeing silver creep into your fur
while your eyes still shine like sunbeams
breaks my heart and warms it too.

I know that one day soon
you’ll quietly show me
that you’re ready to leave this world,
and somehow I’ll have to let you go.
But I’ve learned our time together
was always borrowed starlight,
a precious gift I never could deserve.

So while you’re here beside me,
I’ll make sure you feel, every day,
that you are the greatest cat
my arms have ever held.

When goodbye finally comes,
please remember this:
I will never forget you,
and I will love you
with every piece of who I am,
until the day we meet again. 🐾💕
