Maybe an unpopular opinion about buying horses… 👀

I think we’ve got a bit too caught up in how much a horse costs, what it looks like, its breeding and what it’s achieved on paper.

People will spend £10k, £15k, £20k+ on a horse because it’s pretty, has a fancy competition record or comes from the “right” bloodlines — but does that actually make it the right horse for them?

And let’s be honest, sometimes the horse that costs £3,000 and quietly does everything you need is worth far more than the £15,000 one that looks impressive on Instagram.

You don’t need the most expensive horse in the yard.
You don’t need the fanciest breeding.
You don’t need someone else’s dream horse.

You need the right horse for you.

Because there’s nothing impressive about spending a fortune on a horse that makes you miserable every time you ride it. 🐴

This very rare stunning mare is that perfect in-between, safe yet capable, steady not tedious etc that I’m constantly receiving requests for. She is extremely safe with a dash of class and up for carrying some weight. One the whole family can enjoy.

To school Willow is absolutely push button, she is a snaffle ride with perfect breaks. You simply think walk, trot, canter, halt, collect etc and she does it. So willing and so enjoyable whatever your experience or capabilities may be. willow will work to her best abilities in the school if that’s your thing or will doddle around buckle end forgiving your mistakes with no limits making her perfect to learn and progress on.

To jump willow is again a snaffle ride, she is quiet, capable and consistent with a stylish jump. This special maxi cob could help teach her new best friend to jump round their first course or help regain confidence to those who needed it. Willow is a real sturdy hack in company she really is safe. Open spaces, heavy traffic, farm machinery, not a problem. She is quiet to do about the yard, and loves being pampered.

Well mannered and easy to ride type, he works nicely in the arena in an outline and is easy to ride very chilled and leg on type. He will pop a fence happily out hacking and in the arena. Super to hack, fits in a large ride and doesn’t heat up, definitely the type who would take to hunting/common rides.

No vices or health issues, open to viewing and vetting.

Very sensibly priced to find him a lovely home

She is very easy to ride, is a snaffle mouth, sensible and good alone or in groups. Sweet natured mare who loves a fuss and a hack down the lane! Easy going type who is perfect for anyone who wants a leg on happy hack and hop a few logs safely and quietly. Very easy to ride and safe enough for a novice.

She is good in traffic and unphased my children, dogs, bikes and non spooky.

She isn’t your typical TB and loves her food, and doesn’t loose condition easily. Currently shod in front and up to date with vaccinations.

She finished racing in 2017 sound and She is in excellent health and has no leg injuries, has 2 sarcoids on inner thigh which doesn’t affect her and checked by a vet- this is reflected in her £ and could be removed easily if preferred
