Don't they look serious, bless them?
We were having a short break to practice sit-stay yesterday. Fine mature cheddar is a great attention keeper.

It's Cocker Time!!!
This picture of Ruby and Spencer was taken last week, before everything turned icy.
Spencer joined at the same time as Ruby, but while Ruby is pure woking cocker spaniel, Spencer is half show half working - does that make him "shwerking"? Or is that a dance move on Strictly???
More photos of young Spencer to follow when I hook up my proper camera to the proper computer and grit my teeth to grapple with Windows 10.

A couple of weeks ago dear Nina, the Griffon Bleu de Gascogne, left Hitchin to move to Cambridgeshire and left a hole where I once had a very soft spot.
However, as one door closes another opens and within a week I had not one but two new dogs on my books. And both Cocker Spaniels!
Firstly, here is Ruby, a very well-bred working cocker. She is the softest little thing in the world and an absolute treasure to take out. If she had a fault, then it's not being keen on the camera as she is looking rather businesslike in this photo with Honey, the happiest Labrador in the world.

I'm afraid I can't really call this a pup-date considering that Coco is now staring down the barrel of seventeen months of age, so here is the latest installment of Coco's Progress from my blog page.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again - where has the time gone??? Things have been ticking along nicely on the training front, not perfect and not witho...

And finally, down to business. In response to changes in demand for my services since originally setting out my tariff, I have made a small revision to my pricing structure.

The rate for a half-hour (non-exclusive) walk has been reduced to £6, while there is a modest increase to the rate for a home visit to £8 for a half hour.

While we are not talking about vast sums of money, this update serves to reflect the fact that a home-visit is an exclusive service, while a thirty minute walk can be dove-tailed in with another walk if timings permit.

From experience, home-visits are most suited for dogs who are recovering from an illness or operation and just need some company, a comfort break and a spot of TLC. For a fit and healthy dog who could just do with a break in their day and change of scenery, as well as an opportunity to "go", then a half hour walk is much more suitable.

I hope that this makes sense and will have little impact on my regular clients. The rate change comes into effect on 1st July 2016 and has been update on the website.
