After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to close Belmont Bark as I move into a new season and direction in life.
I’m so grateful for all the lovely dogs, wonderful owners, and the support I’ve had along the way. It’s been a real privilege and a joy.

Lunar and I got up before the light this morning and scrambled up Skirrid! 🌄🐾
Would your dog like to come on a big adventure with us?

Early starts, muddy paws and mountain views – just how we like it! From calm woodland strolls to proper leg-stretching climbs, every walk is shaped around each dog’s personality and comfort.

I’ll soon be opening up spaces for a couple of regulars who fancy joining us for BIG adventure walks! 🏔️
To join these special outings, dogs will need to be:
🚗 Good travellers in the car
🐕 Happy around other dogs
💪 Healthy and able to walk long distances

Spaces for these will be very limited, so message to show your interest and get your dog’s name down early! 🐾

Lunar and Sparky had the best time exploring, sniffing and splashing about together.

With client permission, I can sometimes pair or group dogs together when I know their personalities are a good match. It gives them safe social time, fun and plenty of exercise 🐕🧡🐕

🐾 Monday Motivation: For the Nervous & Reactive Pups 🐾

Reactive dogs show it in all sorts of ways. Some bark and lunge, some pull like they want to get closer, and some just freeze. Most of the time it’s about what’s behind it - fear, anxiety, frustration or excitement. Sometimes it’s just lots of little stresses building up, which is known as trigger stacking.

When I’m walking a nervous or reactive dog, I keep things calm and simple. That means choosing quieter routes, giving them space, and letting them see the world from a safe distance. Gentle exposure, patience, praise and reassurance can make a big difference.

For me it’s about trust and understanding, and making sure every dog enjoys their walk at their own pace 🐕🌳
