3 walks done before the heat and then only shady footpaths for the last walk of the day now as it’s already hot. Inside and shady garden fun only now to keep all the dogs safe.

I strongly recommend everyone getting walks in early tomorrow and Tuesday especially, and if you’re committed to a lie in, just give your dog a day off from a walk.
Do some inside mental stimulation, freeze some treats in a kong or ice, give them a lick mat or a puzzle, fill them a paddling pool or let them just get through this scorching weather. Keep your doggos safe everyone!

A little snapshot into the last couple of months. As always social media has been neglected as we’ve been having far too much fun with dog walks, horse visits, small holding sitting, cat pop ins and more!

From Skenfrith, to Longtown, Newton St Margaret’s to Madley, Walterstone to Wormbridge, and everywhere in between, we’ve had some lovely views and great fun!

A busy end to 2025 and a wonderful start to 2026. We’ve had all the weathers, from lovely crisp sunny days, some snowy ones and some very very wet ones. I’m looking forward to spring but it hasn’t dampened any of the joy from all the lovely dogs I walk.

I’ve recently welcomed some wonderful new dogs to the rota but do have some space so pop me a message for any of your animal needs!

I am based in Pontrilas and cover the villages between Hereford, Abergavenny and Monmouth area (subject to requirements).

Had a bit of a social media hiatus but there’s no fair weather walking here. I’ll come to make sure your doggo’s get the walks they need in pretty much all weathers ☔️💦🐾

What I do though:
- take extra care around streams and rivers if they’re high or fast flowing, especially with dogs who normally like a swim
- give them a good towel dry when we get back using your towels or I keep spares in my car
- if you’d like them cleaner, let me know where your hose is or if you want them to have a bath or shower inside
- let me know if they’ve got a coat you’d like them to wear
- I’ve got a reflective that I wear so we’re extra visible on these dark days when we go on any roads
- if you need a walk in the dark, I’ve got spare light up collars too
- if the weather is unsafe or you’ve got and older or younger dog who can’t get too cold, we can do enrichment and games instead

‼️LONGTOWN DOG SHOW UPDATE‼️
Due to hot weather the dog show will now be running 10am-12.30 ☀️ Details below.

As some of my lovely followers know I’m judging the dog show at Longtown and District Show this Saturday. Due to hot weather and very limited shade, we’ve decided to bring the dog show forward to avoid the heat so it will now be running 10am-12.30 so we’re done before the temperatures rise too high.
I apologise for any inconvenience or if anyone now won’t be able to make it but dogs welfare is my highest priority.

🐾You will be able to SIGN IN for the classes FROM 9am by the dog ring.
🐾We will have a doggy paddling pool and lots of water bowls in and around the ring
🐾You will get a stamp so can take your dog home after the dog show and return to enjoy the rest of the show (I highly recommend this)
🐾If you have a particularly young or old dog, one that doesn’t like the heat, or if you have a brachycephalic dog please take extra care. The puppy and veteran classes are first so should hopefully be done before it starts to warm up.
🐾Please look out for your dog, their welfare is your responsibility so please do what’s best for them
