Does anyone recognise this cat? She is elderly and frail but very friendly and loving.
She had been hiding in a garden around the Kings Acre area for a few days but has now been brought into our care.
Please help us reunite her with her owner and share this post🐱🌼⭐️

🌟May is veterinary nurse awareness month, so we thought we would take the time to celebrate these three wonderful people! 🌟 🐶🐱🩺👩‍⚕️

We are a small team of one RVN and two SVN’s. RVN- jade and SVN’s Aimee and Amy. (Yes it gets very confusing at times!) 🙈

They work hard to ensure your pets receive a gold standard of care whilst staying with us in practice. A lot of the work that nurses do goes unseen, as this is quite often behind the scenes of the practice, but without nurses our vets would be unable to carry out a lot of the tasks that we see in everyday practice. 🐶🐱

Just a few roles of the RVN include;

🔵Monitoring anaesthetics

🔵Reception duties

🔵Inpatient care

🔵Nurse consults

🔵Placing catheters

🔵Taking blood

🔵Lab sampling

🔵Diagnostic imaging

🔵Cleaning

🔵Small surgeries such as lump removals and scale and polish procedures.

This is just a small list of the many jobs our small team of nurses carry out everyday. It is a very rewarding job, and all our nurses have a passion for all animals in their care.
Without our nurses we would be useless!

An exciting opportunity has arisen due to an expansion of our team!
We are looking for another RVN to join our family here at Wye valley vets.

We are a small independent small animal veterinary practice based in the beautiful city of Hereford, just a stones throw away from the beautiful Herefordshire countryside with great links to the Malvern hills, a favourite spot for dog walkers! 🐶

The successful candidate will work alongside a team of 2 RVN’s, 2 SVN’s, 2 Vets and 2 receptionists. We are a bubbly, fun team who strive to deliver gold standard care to both our patients and clients alike.

The position would ideally be for a 40 hour working week ( 8 hour shifts, mon-fri) but the option for 4 longer 10 hour shifts with a day off in the week would also be available. This would include a weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays with the Sunday on call.

Although we are ideally looking for a full time RVN, part time positions ( 3 full working days) would also be considered. Salary is to be discussed at interview.

We are looking for a Vet that has some availability in March from 7th - 11th, even if it’s just an odd day or two. We are super flexible on hours & days etc.

We are a very friendly, happy and fun team and we would love a locum with a great sense of humour 😇

**We are also hiring for a full time vet!!***

We are independent and have state of the art facilities with lots of space. We use the most recent, up to date and evidence based medicine. 🏥

We are a busy small animal practice, and currently have 2 RVNS, 2 SVNs, 2 receptionists and 2.5 MRCVS. We are a very friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming bunch and enjoy going out for meals and being social!

We are looking for a positive, motivated and enthusiastic individual that likes to have fun and has an light and open minded approach to life. We are ideally looking for full time hours, with one in three Saturday with on call basis for the weekend. But don’t let this put you off as we are flexible. We like to ensure that all our staff have a work-life balance.

We are based in the beautiful market town of Hereford with links to all the surrounding areas such as Brecon Beacons, Shropshire and Malvern Hills. It’s bursting with so much countryside yet to be explored, amazing dog walking and sight seeing not to mention a great place to grab coffee or a burger at beefy boys!

The salary on offer is £35-60k we are happy for all levels of expertise to apply as we feel that everybody should get an opportunity at working in a beautiful part of the country!
