Today Marley is retiring from the Pink Welly gang. For the past six years he has been a joy to walk. We've had some fun and games and I will miss my 'little legs' Happy retirement you gorgeous boy and I will definitely be round for cuddles. Xx

Hope your all managing in this heat.
Dil, my old girl, had her walk at 5 then apart from p*e breaks kept in the cool of the house. This evening she enjoyed the long grass (no mow may/June as goldfinches are enjoying the grasses) in the shade for a little while. Xx

Pink Wellys will be closed tomorrow and Thursday. We felt we didn't have an option. The dogs welfare is most important to us.

Day two of intense heat. Again 18 degrees first thing here. We will be starting a little earlier today and again carrying water on the walks and being mindful of where we go.
I will keep you posted regarding tomorrow and Thursday.
In the meantime we should all be more Woody and keep cool and enjoy a paddle in the shade. 😊

Here is Dillis my lovely old girl. We took her out to see the sunset on the Solstice Eve. For those of you who don't know that I walk my gang of 5 woofers around 4.30am week days then again when I get home. Today it was already 18 degrees so definitely warming up.
We will moniture the temperature as the week goes on and assess whether it is suitable and safe to walk dogs.
Today, Monday, I will start a bit earlier, carry water, walk in the shade as much as possible and watch the dogs to see if any one is suffering. I may have to shorten a walk but I will keep you all informed.
There is a good saying that we should all take notice of "no dog died of missing a walk" so sorry Dillis no walk this afternoon rest up in the house or the shade in the garden. Xx
