Walnut Hill Equine Veterinary Clinic

Walnut Hill Equine Veterinary Clinic Walnut Hill Equine Vets, headed by Bridget Gatehouse BVSc MRCVS and Jack Wallace BVM&S MRCVS, are dedicated Equine Veterinary Surgeons

We aim to provide all of our clients with the very best care that the equine veterinary profession has to offer. We provide a full range of services from routine vaccinations and tooth rasping, up to the very highest level of specialist equine care. We have a team of world renowned specialist equine surgeons that will visit our clinic on a weekly basis to attend to the cases that we feel require r

eferral. Bridget Gatehouse graduated from Liverpool University in 1995 and Jack Wallace graduated from Edinburgh University in 2008. Bridget has worked in solely equine practice for 19 years while Jack has worked solely in equine practice since graduating 8 years ago. Whilst Bridget Gatehouse and Jack Wallace have over 20 years of combined equine veterinary experience, they also have considerable experience in the competition sphere. Bridget has ridden 6 winners as an amateur flat jockey. Jack rides as a point to point jockey, has ridden 3 winners and trains point to pointers at his father's farm. Jack's Grandfather Richard L.Wallace BVM&S MRCVS, was also a Veterinary surgeon, graduating from Edinburgh University in 1945 and worked as a large animal veterinary Surgeon in Henley in Arden. The name 'Walnut Hill' derived from the farm that Jack grew up on. His grandfather on retiring as a Veterinary Practitioner assisted Jack's father on the farm. If you seek the best care for your horse, be it your life-long friend and pet, or your Event horse that is looking to take the next step up the ladder, then we are here to attend to your horse's needs.

Thanks Dassett Eventing and the huge number of friends and clients who have shown so much support and kindness to us over the years but even more so recently. Thank you

Today is World 🌍 Veterinary Day !!

Massive shout out to the amazing team who are always on call and on hand whenever we need them.
Let’s face it, being a horse vet ain’t always easy 🤦‍♀️ and by the nature of the job we only tend to pick up the phone when something has gone wrong which must be tough enough in any job let alone one which you put your heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears into on a daily basis 💪

We have been lucky to work with some amazing vets over the years at DEHQ, some are still on the end of the phone as an integral part of the team and some are sadly no longer with us, but rest assured their dedication and love for the job has left a lasting impression on us all ❤️❤️

So Thankyou vets one and all … promise we will try and remember to ring you with the good news as well as the bad !!

It is with immense sadness that we are sharing the recent news of the tragic passing of our dearest Bridget.

She was a remarkable person, an outstanding veterinary surgeon, gifted horsewoman and beloved friend to all who knew her.

We are in close touch with Bridget’s family regarding upcoming arrangements and we hope to be able to provide more information on this shortly. There will be a private family burial at her parent’s home in Wales, and we will share more details in the coming days of the memorial service which will be held here in Warwickshire.

We are pulling together as a team, as Bridget would want, to ensure that we continue to take care of each other, and of her friends and clients at this difficult time.

Our door is always open here at the clinic, where all of Bridget’s clients and friends are welcome to spend time with us, whether that is speaking with us, having a coffee or arranging to meet up with a particular member of our team. There is a condolence book if you wish to add a message in person or over the phone.

For those who are unable to see us at the clinic but would like to speak with us then please use this number as a way of keeping in contact:
