Our hearts are broken 💔

Today we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy RT after he suddenly became very ill.

Many of our clients knew and loved him, and he will leave such a huge hole in our lives and our home.

Today we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy RT very suddenly after he became seriously ill.

Many of our Diamond Dogs clients knew and loved him over the years, and we know some of you will be as heartbroken as we are. He truly was part of the family and such a gentle, loving soul.

The vets discovered he had a haemangiosarcoma causing internal bleeding, and although we are devastated, we know we made the kindest decision for him.

Thank you to everyone who showed him love throughout his life.

The house feels incredibly empty tonight.

Run free with your big brother Brody, our beautiful boy. 🌈🐾💔

Clearly I’ve got far too much time on my hands at the moment 😅

5 weeks into broken leg recovery and, along with ChatGPT, I’ve apparently now created a song for Deni 🎶

Current situation:
🦴 Leg brace
🐾 Dogs everywhere
☕ Endless cups of tea
🛋 Sofa headquarters
🎨 Creative chaos

Honestly… the dogs seem quite happy about it all.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know what’s been going on, as it’s been a bit of a whirlwind.

Over the Easter weekend (on Good Friday), I had an accident while out with the dogs — one of them ran into me at full speed, and I’ve ended up with two fractures in my right tibia. Not quite the Easter I had planned!

I’m currently still in hospital while they monitor things, and it looks like I’m going to be out of action for a while. Realistically, I’m looking at around 12 weeks recovery — with physio starting in about 6 weeks, and then more time to get properly back on my feet (literally!).

So, for now, I won’t be able to take any new boarding bookings for the foreseeable future.

Dave is doing an amazing job holding everything together at home, and we’ve made sure any dogs already booked in are either being cared for safely or placed with trusted local boarders where needed. Their wellbeing is, as always, my absolute priority.

I’ll be taking things slowly, behaving myself (apparently!), and focusing on healing — though sitting still isn’t exactly my strong point as most of you know!

Thank you all so much for your understanding, kind messages, and support — it really does mean a lot.
