Been a while since I posted on here but just in case anyone following knew our boy Dudley, I wanted to let you know we sadly lost him Tues evening, it was sudden - his heart we presume, he was over 13 but like a much younger dog, and we really thought we'd have another 12-18 months with him. Heartbroken, give your pooches an extra hug today xx

Did a professional pet sit looking after this lively boy last weekend, eventually tired him out (not for long!). I will be changing the page name soon to something dog sitting/walking related...when I can think of a name that isn't already commonly used (ideas welcome!)

A slightly more relaxing lead up to Christmas for me this year, but please spare a thought for all the groomers working so hard to please everyone who wants their pooches looking perfect for Christmas

Just a reminder that I am no longer grooming in Leics. I do miss my previous customers and hope you're all doing well. I'm down in West Cornwall now and will be doing some dog walking and pet sitting starting in 2025. 🙂

Matted dogs..pretty much any groomer that has worked for a while will have to groom dogs in this condition, and sadly quite frequently. As you can see the first couple of photo's show what looks like a soft unmatted coat, the next 2 photo's are the same bits of coat but after they have been clipped off! Solid matting underneath. So many owners think they are doing a good job brushing but they are just brushing the top of the coat. You really need to follow with a comb to get down to the skin and you should be able to part the hair and see skin. It's a great idea to check with a professional groomer occasionally even if you groom at home, just to make sure you're not missing any tricky to reach areas.
