🏃‍♀️🐾 Happy Global Running Day! 🐾🏃‍♀️

Running isn't everyone's idea of fun... but neither is sitting through a work meeting when you could be chasing squirrels 🌳🐿️

Whether it's a marathon, a gentle jog, or a sprint after your dog who's just spotted a rabbit, getting active is one of the best things you can do for your body and mind.

The dogs certainly know it. A good run leaves them happier, calmer and ready for a well-earned snooze in the sun 😴☀️

I'm trying to get up and about before work again this week. It always sets me up for the day and helps me wind down easier at night.

This week has been HOT 🔥 and I've loved it. But it's meant less steps as 2 mile walkies have become less that 1 mile shade hopping missions. Even today's run in cooler temps was decreased from 5.5 to 4 miles, with lots of stops to play in the grass. As we all know , it's up to us humans to protect our puppies in this weather ☀️ But my running group Helsby Tap Social 5K did our usual 5k in 26c. Don't worry we were well hydrated with beer 🍺 at The Helsby Tap afterwards. It's a free social group me and my friend Ali Browne created almost 2 years ago and all speeds are welcome, come and join us 🍻

I've absolutely loved the weather this week ☀️ but today we had to get up super early to have our walk. Rudi absolutely loves the sun ☀️ so I have to drag him away from sunbathing sometimes. Can't believe I had to wear a coat this morning 🌄
