Wow what a busy few weeks it's been. A few new enquiries, a little sleepover from Tallulah, ultra training has begun and the rain has soaked me to the bones 🌧️ but it's all been wonderful 👍🏼

Can you tell which days I spend dog walking and which ones I spend in the office?! I left my previous job as my manager was a bully 😞 I've always dreamt of being a dog walker/runner but just needed that push. So after I left that job I took a part time accounting job Mon - Wed so I could have some regular income whilst I got more dog clients, but it turns out I love the new job in accounts and I'm happy with the balance of office days and dog days. I still would like a few more dog clients, but things are going well and I'm so pleased that all my clients are happy with the service I am giving 💕 🐶 💕

I can't believe I haven't posted on here since my holiday. I've been very busy now the school holidays are here and some personal things happening behind the scenes, which have kept me busy. But that's all settled down, and now the weather is cooler the dogs are much happier. We've even been able to do our social Sunday walk with Helsby Trails and Tails x

Finally dragged myself out for a run but it quickly became a walk after too many wines and cocktails yesterday 😂 but I got to watch the planes land and doggie playing in the sea.

A tired dog isn't always a calm dog. Physical exercise builds endurance—mental exercise builds peace. 🧠🐕

Here are 5 brain games that exhaust your dog's mind in minutes, using stuff you already have at home.

1. MUFFIN TIN GAME – Grab a muffin tin, put treats in a few cups, cover each cup with a tennis ball. Your dog has to sniff out the treats and remove the balls. Simple, engaging, and satisfying.

2. TOWEL ROLL – Lay a towel flat, scatter treats along it, roll it up, and tie a loose knot. Your dog will use nose and paws to unroll and find every last crumb.

3. BOX OF PAPER – Fill a cardboard box with crumpled newspaper or packing paper. Hide treats inside. Let your dog forage—sniffing, shredding, searching. It's natural and deeply calming.

4. BOTTLE PUZZLE – Drop a few treats inside an empty plastic water bottle. Screw the cap on tight. Your dog will bat, nudge, and roll the bottle to get the treats out. (Always supervise to prevent chewing.)

5. SNUFFLE MAT – A mat with long fabric strips. Sprinkle kibble or treats into the strips. Your dog uses their nose to sniff out the food. It's like a mini scavenger hunt that lowers stress.

10 minutes of brain games = 1 hour of walking. Less chaos, more calm.
