A busy few days. We were honoured to be selected to represent the Three Ridings Labrador Retriever Club at the Intercounties team event at the weekend. Unfortunately not in the awards, but had a great day with a great team. Then up to Emblehope, which was bittersweet. Fantastic ground for training, but very sadly, the last time we'll get to go after it's sale. Sad times 😔

The versatility of this dog never ceases to amaze me. A summer spent running in working tests and doing gundog demos at game fairs, a shooting season picking up, sweeping as a real game finder with a couple of Field Trials on his days off, one week after the end of the season he was selected for the Intercounties, Sunday he was successful at Crufts and today he's back to training.
Everything I ask of him is met with the same "I'll give it my best" attitude.
The happiest, most honest chap.

Maplecrest Nero, Tallamelie Spey and Maplecrest Resolute won the Crufts BASC Working Team yesterday against some very strong competition!
Maplecrest Nero placed second in Crufts Field Trial Labrador class and my young niece came second in the BASC Junior Handler after handling Dee beautifully!

Despite a few minor injuries, the dogs have been fab.
Henry looks as disappointed as I feel that this is the last week
