Hilary Cameron Catsitting

Hilary Cameron Catsitting An experienced catsitter in the Helensburgh area offering home visits and overnights. Happy to administer medication amd covered for vet visits if required.

Fully insured. I got my first cat, an Oriental called Oedipus, in 1992 while living in Sweden. When I returned to the UK, he came with me despite having to spend 6 months in quarantine. From that point on, I have never been without a cat. Elektra, a seal point Siamese became Oedi's companion in 1995 and she was followed in 2010 by my current cat, Ziggy, a handsome half-Siamese tuxedo. He has all t

he Siamese character and personality but his tom-cat father's voice and colouring. Having Oriental / Siamese - even half-breeds - is both entertaining and challenging and they make looking after less highly-strung cats seem like child's play!! Cuddles, belly rubs and long play sessions are a speciality. I have several clients who need regular medication and am confident giving injections.

A huge thank you to all the horses, bunnies, cats and dogs who have been volunteered as case studies for my animal reiki qualification.

It has been an incredible and humbling experience which has reinforced my belief in the healing power of reiki. The animal’s reaction is totally honest and the feedback has been incredibly rewarding. To see the animals totally relaxed and then hear how their behaviour has changed is wonderful. I can’t take credit, of course, as I am just the conduit for the energy but it does feel good!

This weekend will be spent writing up and submitting my experiences after which fingers firmly crossed…

I won’t go into details for confidentiality but you know who you are and I am eternally grateful

Animal Reiki - Case Studies

I had a fabulous weekend doing my foundation course in Animal Reiki. Working with mustangs really pushed me out of my comfort zone but it was the most amazing and rewarding experience.

I am now required to do 30 case studies on ten different animals in order to (hopefully) receive my practitioner certificate.

Reiki is a non-invasive energy therapy with mo contra-indications and animals are particular receptive to it. They find it very relaxing and it can help with arthritis and joint issues as well as stress and anxiety. Everything moves at the animal’s pace and the treatments are guided by them.

If you would like to volunteer your pet as a case study please let me know. Also if you have any questions. I would need you to give me some background and then feedback after each session. Ideally I would give three to four treatments which would last around an hour each time, although the first one might be a little longer or shorter.

When I write up the case studies I will not pass on any personal details.

Many thanks

Hilary

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you have a peaceful day and that Santa Paws is good to you

I know I’ve been very neglectful of this page - I’m not great at social media I’m afraid.

It’s been an amazing year and you’ve kept me very busy with visits for which I am constantly grateful.

Big news is that I have been busy getting my Reiki Practitioner qualification and received my certificate yesterday. That was step one. On 28 and 29 March I will be doing my Animal Reiki Practitioner training which I’m very excited about. This means that I will have limited availability that weekend. I will, however, be looking for volunteers afterwards to act as case studies. I’m not sure exactly what will be involved yet, but will let you know when I do.
