Puppy training classes – starting 21st September 🐾
Are you bringing home a new puppy this summer or early autumn? Or perhaps you already have a young puppy and would like some help getting things off to the best possible start?
I'm delighted to announce that Don't Stop Retrievin' puppy training classes will be starting at Clows Top Victory Hall on Monday 21st September at 7.00 pm.
The six-week course is aimed at puppies approximately 12–16 weeks old at the start of the course and will focus on building the skills, confidence and understanding that will help you and your puppy enjoy life together.
Classes will be:
🐾 Small and friendly – numbers will be deliberately limited so that every puppy and owner gets the individual attention, time and support they deserve.
🐾 Reward-based and force-free – using positive, practical training methods that make learning enjoyable.
🐾 Practical – concentrating on the skills you actually need for everyday life, from loose lead walking and recall to settling, impulse control and understanding your puppy.
🐾 Supportive – because training isn't just about teaching the puppy; it's about helping owners understand how their puppy thinks and learns too.
As a veterinary surgeon and dog trainer, I bring together my experience of puppy development and practical dog ownership and training to give puppies the very best start.
A chance to meet before we start
The evening before the first class, I'll be holding a Zoom session for everyone enrolled on the course. This will give you an opportunity to meet me, find out a little more about how the classes work, go through the housekeeping and ask any questions before you arrive with your puppy on the Monday evening.
