**FIRST JOB IN MY NEW WORKSHOP**

The shiny new workshop handled its first job well, it was a general tack check of this saddle which included-

🐴The soundness of the tree to ensure there wasn’t any excessive flexing, unusual noises, misalignment or loose fittings.

🐴To check the stirrup bars are securely attached and hinged bars or moveable clasps are functioning correctly.

🐴To check the girth straps for dryness, cracks, elongated holes, stitching and being over stretched.

🐴To feel for poor flocking, bad flocking can cause pressure points which will lead to soreness for the horse.

🐴Have a general check over for leather dryness and stitching.

This saddle had a reflock, 4 new girth straps and 2 re stitched girth straps and a general clean and spruce up ✨

🐎When was the last time you had your saddle reflocked?

After a summer of shows and sponsered rides treat your equine friend and your saddle to a reflock.

**FLOCKING**
The white & pink flocking is the original and as you can see there’s hard balls formed over time & the panel was crammed full.
These lumps can cause pressure points on the horses back.
The grey flocking is what will replace the old in long even strips to create a soft even surface.
