Two markets today!

We’re on day 3 of while Jamie (and the adorable pugs Patti and Binkie) are doing day 2 of the .lane Spring Fair.

We’ve got Grow Kits galore and fresh gourmet mushrooms at Waterlane.

We’re at both fairs until 4pm. Come and find us.

We’re at in Herstmonceux today and tomorrow, 10am to 5pm today and 10am to 4pm tomorrow.

The setting couldn’t be more beautiful. We’re in the grounds of Herstmonceux Castle, it’s sunny and the birds are singing. There’s loads of different stalls, so many locally grown garden plants, house plants, lots of snacks and things for the home.

You’ll find us the the Big Dog Day Out .waterworksroad next Saturday too.

We’ve ventured over to Brighton today. We’re at market at Jubilee until 5pm (wind permitting!). We’re in good company, are here too, Rebecca’s sourdough crumpets are the best ever.

You can also find Jamie manning our stall .waterworksroad Farmers’ Market until 2pm. He’s got gourmet mushrooms for you to take home and eat and Grow Kits. Be careful not to get hypnotised by the Basil tablecloth…

We’re at in today and tomorrow, 11am until 5pm. There are loads of other stalls (our favourite being , whose miniatures are irresistible and stall should win a prize). Come find us and talk mushrooms!

We’re offering free postage on all our Grow Kits this weekend, both in person and on our website. Although we had fun taking the Grow Kit’s on the train, we did get some funny looks!

What fun I had recently with spent mushroom substrate 😅 wobbly, bouncy, fragrant and sometimes scary bags of horticultural goodness! Making a magnificent mulch on client’s gardens. 🍄🌱🍄

You don’t realise how grey the weather is until you look back at old pictures of mushrooms sunbathing.
Heres the biggest Porcini we’ve ever found, plus a bonus cat picture.
And no, sadly we can’t cultivate Porcini… or cats!

Beech mushrooms will always be one of our favourites. Their tortoise shell caps are so handsome, they’ve got a refreshing peppery flavour, and their firm texture makes them great for cooking and last ages in the fridge.
If you haven’t tried them yet, you can come and find us at one of our remaining markets this year, or ask your local shop to stock some!
