Wow how has it already been 1 whole year of Woofs & Barke’s dog grooming?!😮

It has been an amazing year and never in a million years did I think that by 20 I’d have my own business in my dream job!
I feel so lucky!🥰

I wanna say a massive thank you to all of my customers for the kindness and support! Big thank you to all of Ky’s customers that I took over, I know trying a new groomer can be scary, so for all of you to be so patient while I found my feet meant so much!💕

I also cannot thank Ky and Hollie enough for the continued guidance and support. They are always in my corner cheering me on which has really helped me grow in confidence. None of this would’ve been possible without them😊

I cannot wait for year 2 of Woofs & Barke’s, there are definitely some very exciting things to come..🛁🫧🐶✂️

I’ve loved every second since opening up in July, and to say I’ve been dog grooming for 6 months is crazy😊
Thanks for everyone’s warm welcomes, love and support in 2024, now hears to 2025.
We will be back open on January 7th, but for now I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year🎅🏻🐾❤️

Hey all!
Thought I’d post a couple pictures from the last couple weeks of my scissor cuts (before&afters).😊
Back at the start of the year when I was training to become a dog groomer, doing a scissor cut was so so hard for me. I knew what to do but my hands just wouldn’t do it. I couldn’t figure out how to hold the scissors properly, how to make sure I took enough off and my hands absolutely killed after doing only half the dog.🤣
Then Ky got me Kev, a fake dog which I could practice on, and all of a sudden something clicked and I just got it!
Now I absolutely love grooming a whole dog with scissors, as the overall result is so rewarding as you get to turn this little fuzz ball in to something with more shape.🐾
Of course I have loads to still improve on, but I’m so chuffed with the results recently.
Here below we have Benny the Pom, Minnie the Pom and Soleil the Terrier cross all done with scissors💕
As well as pictures of me practicing on Kev back at the start of this year xx

Working full time is in full swing and even though i’m definitely glad it’s the weekend, im also looking forward to seeing next weeks dogs.💕
I’m more excited about the fact i’ll get a couple days off from getting any dog hair in my eye (it’s a daily struggle😅).
The last couple weeks I’ve been joined by a variety of different pooches, from poms to yorkies to terriers. It’s been fun!

Here we have Benny, Wilbur, Dave, Lily, Stanley, Jimmy, Zola, Paddy and Daisy🐶
