🤯 WELL… WHAT A BANK HOLIDAY THAT WAS! 🐠🔥

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came down to see us over the Bank Holiday weekend! ❤️

It was brilliant to see so many new faces walking through the doors, and we really hope you were impressed with what you found! To everyone who continues to support our little shop week after week — thank you! We genuinely can’t say it enough. 🫶

But… the Bank Holiday madness is over, which means it’s back to the everyday reality of running a fish shop…

And you know what that means. 👀

🚗💨 ETHAN’S WEEKLY TMC TRIP!

The alarm will be going off at a disgusting 5AM and, judging by recent weeks, we have a feeling Ethan might go a little crazy with the budget. 😅💸

So, before he completely blows it…

Sometimes it works out brilliantly — like that HUGE Zebra Eel that was snapped up! 🐍

🐙 We still have an octopus from last week. 😂😂

🐟💗 OUR PINK TAILED TRIGGER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME! 💗🐟

We still have this absolutely beautiful Pink Tailed Trigger, and we can’t quite believe nobody has snapped him up yet!

This chap has been with us since the first week of May, so it’s safe to say we’ve become rather attached to him. 🥹 He has a HUGE personality, is always interested in what’s going on and has provided us with plenty of entertainment during his stay at Phoenix!

But as much as we love having him here, it’s time for him to find his forever home where he can really stretch his fins and rule the tank! 👑🐠

🏡 What does he need?
He’s looking for roughly a 5ft fish-only system or larger, with plenty of swimming space and a suitable setup for a trigger of his size and personality.

⚠️ REEF KEEPERS BEWARE!
This handsome chap is NOT reef safe. Unless you fancy turning your expensive reef into his personal all-you-can-eat buffet… this probably isn’t the fish for you. 😂🪸

He really is a cracking fish and deserves a brilliant permanent home. Help us find this chap somewhere he can swim free and give his new owner as much joy as he’s given us! ❤️

What a weekend it’s turning out to be! You’ve certainly been keeping us busy, and we genuinely can’t thank you all enough for the continued support of Phoenix Aquatics! 🐠💙

Our first delivery of Caridina shrimp are in! We have a stunning mix of Galaxy, Stardust, Crystal, King Kong, Tiger, Ocean Blue and many more😍.
If you're new to the world of Caridinas, welcome! They are a little different to the Neocaridinas (Cherry Shrimp family) as they need cooler, softer and more acidic water, but they are just as fascinating (and collectable 😏). Pop in for a chat if you want to learn more about how to keep these amazing little critters!

The long-anticipated Mega Mysis has officially landed at Phoenix Aquatics! 🙌

We’ve been excited to get our hands on this one, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. This frozen food is absolutely phenomenal — jam-packed with all the important goodness your fish need to thrive, grow and stay in top condition! 💪🐠

And we’re not just going to tell you how good it is…

👀 We’ll be feeding Mega Mysis to our fish throughout the weekend!

So if you’re in the shop and want to see the feeding response for yourself, just ask one of us and we’ll happily chuck some in! We have a feeling you won’t need much convincing once you see the reaction… 😂

A HUGE thank you to each and every one of you who has followed, supported and shared our journey as we’ve turned what was once just a dream into Phoenix Aquatics! 🐠🪸

Water testing is the #1 most important bit of fishkeeping🤓 and we will happily do this for FREE for you. Just bring a water sample in (about a mug-full is plenty). It takes 10 minutes and you can watch how we do it so you can learn to do it yourself at home- it's really easy once you know how. 🙃
🔍Amazing things are going on invisibly in your tank every day- there's a whole microscopic world nibbling away at waste, fizzing/reacting and using up minerals, and the only way to track what's happening and catch a problem BEFORE it becomes a problem is to test the water.

If you're worried about anything in your tank, or just want a general check for reassurance, pop in for a test and a chat 😀
