The Washburn Heritage Centre volunteers enjoyed taking part in the British Association for Local History’s conference today. Excellent speakers included Jude Rhodes, Esther Rutter, David Cant and the Centre’s Sally Robinson. We learned a lot, met great people and had an interesting day. We talked about the fascinating Fewston Assemblage Churchyard Secrets Revealed and the current project Churchyard Secrets Shared which was made possible with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund
