Meet the team pets:

Hatty has lived a full and busy life and spends most of her days now snoozing on any available lap in the office. She had a rough start in life and was rescued by a local charity, who brought her to us for help when she broke her leg whilst heavily pregnant. She quickly secured herself an adoptive home with Leigh-Anne, and her natural charisma and sense of entitlement soon saw her take the leading role* of Bruiser Woods in Legally Blonde the Musical with HSAP. She has never forgotten that she received a standing ovation after every performance and is slightly miffed that she doesn’t get one every evening. She’s had to accept the mundanity of daily life to an extent but recognises her fellow A list stars of stage and screen, who can’t help requesting selfies with her. Now in semi-retirement, she’s done some modelling for Vets for Pets nurse recruitment adverts. She may look like an angel but beware: don’t leave your shoes unattended near her as she may leave you a little “message” if you do.

*don’t tell her it’s not the lead. She wouldn’t believe you anyway

Meet the team pet!

Daniel the Spaniel belongs to Chloe, one of our RVNs. He’s an old man at heart with his favourite time of day being when everyone leaves for work and he gets the sofa to nap on. A sucker for a roast dinner, he loves his snacks, however he has a bad habit of binge-eating Chloe’s chocolate at Christmas and having no regrets (except when he has to go to the vets afterwards!). He loves his walkies, especially when there’s a river for him to stand in - not paddle, he’s a toe-dipper only! He’s shy when meeting new people, but when he really knows you, he’s your best friend for life and might consider using his recall skills to come back to you.

We've had two youngsters in today to brighten up a gloomy November Tuesday! ☀️

Peaky the cat came to see us for a routine castration and stole everyone's hearts.

And Toaster the golden retriever returned in style for a post operative check!

She was a super star and so calm, we hope you can appreciate her luscious locks as much as we did.

Meet the team; pet edition!

Senga lives with practice owner Leigh-Anne. She is a three year old Bedlington/ Whippet lurcher. Her main hobbies are running very, very fast, and lying completely still. She has taken on responsibility for alerting the neighbourhood whenever there is a dangerous security incursion (someone walks past the house or office) and rearranging soft furnishings optimally at all times. By optimally, she means having everything soft within reach under herself and away from Hatty whenever possible. This includes sofa cushions, blankets and people. If she likes you, she may bless you with a "wiggly woo" where she turns into pure liquid and rubs herself against your legs until your clothes become clingy and static. Her next ambition is to exceed her current land speed record of 32 miles an hour.

Anna one of our registered vet nurses was in collie heaven the other day!

The lovely Bo came in for her second vaccination with support from her pals; Neve and Roccas.
