Hello my lovelies just a wee update on Groomed to Pawfection going forward.
I’ve now officially reached that magic number where you’re supposed to put your feet up and take life easy. However for a lot of us reaching that magic time it’s not always that easy in this current financial climate.
As you know I absolutely love my job meeting you all having a good blether and of course grooming all my little furry weans. I want to continue doing so for as long as I am able. I’ve been at this game for well over a decade now and the toll on my auld bones is taking its toll.
So after much thought and deliberation I
will be making the following changes to allow me the best of both worlds. Also to have time to visit my son and friends on the mainland and basically enjoy more of life on this beautiful place, more time to meet up with the wonderful friends I’ve made here. Time to get the paddleboard out, wild swimming and long walks with Sula.
1. I am definitely NOT retiring but will not be taking on any more clients for a good while.
2. I will only be working a 4 day week. It has been working successfully for a while now so current clients don’t be concerned. It also gives me wiggle room rather than having to work a 6 sometimes 7 day week to deal with unplanned events on both sides.
3. I no longer operate card machine payments as connection was a hit and miss at times. Plus the fees were rising and I do try to keep my prices reasonable and these were eating into the business finances.
4. Finally after much thought it will be CASH only payments. Bank Transfers were fine but they were slowly becoming more hassle than they were worth and I really don’t have the time to keep an eye on them and absolutely hate the awkwardness of reminding people.
I do hope you will understand the changes and the reasons. The past year my health hasn’t been at all bad by any stretch but I have had a couple of issues and I just feel it’s time to relax a bit, to enjoy life which also includes grooming, the joy it brings you’ve no idea, and want to go on enjoying it for as long as forever 😂😂 and get out in my garden more as that is a long work in progress. I’ve actually enrolled in an online gardening course as I’ve really no idea 👩🌾. I just buy things I like, chuck them in and hope 😵💫
That’s all a bit long winded soz but you all know I can blether.
Never fear I’ll no be hanging up my clippers anytime soon but just felt it was time to make my changes known and to thank you all so very, very much for your loyalty, support for my wee business and for the absolute privilege of entrusting your gorgeous babies to me. I just luvs them all - truly 💗🐾💗
