🦷 Well… these may just be the worst teeth I’ve ever cleaned! 😳🐾

This lovely old chap, Alfie, is one of my senior clients, and while his teeth had definitely seen better days, look at the difference after his clean! ✨

As our dogs get older, dental care becomes even more important. Bad breath isn’t just a “dog thing” and a build-up of plaque and tartar can make mouths pretty uncomfortable.

Because of his age, a general anaesthetic wasn’t the best option for him, so being able to keep on top of his dental health another way has made a huge difference.

The best part? Watching owners realise that their dog’s breath no longer has the power to strip wallpaper. 😂

☀️ HOT WEATHER REMINDER ☀️

With the temperatures set to be very high over the next week or so, please can I ask that dogs attending appointments, especially afternoon grooms, are NOT walked to me where possible.

Even a short walk in extreme heat can raise a dog’s body temperature very quickly before they even arrive for their groom. Hot pavements can also burn paw pads, and overheating is far more dangerous for dogs than many people realise.

Grooming itself can already be tiring and stressful for some dogs, so arriving hot, panting and overheated makes the whole experience much harder on them.

If possible, please bring dogs by car with air conditioning or allow extra time for them to cool down before their appointment. Fresh water will of course always be available here. 💛

Had the beautiful Lola in today for her very first puppy bath.

We bathed her, dried her tidied her face and hygiene areas and showered her with lots and lots of treats!

She was an absolutely superstar 🌟

And no I don’t say that to all my clients 😊
