Yesterday we said a sad goodbye to one of our feathery family. Our duck Sleeps passed away. 😔🦆

Sleeps hatched with a deformed neck. We didn’t know if he would make or how long we would have with him but he was strong and determined and, with a few mods to the brooder, he grew well. He ate, drank, preened and swam with the others… and he would chase the ladies (especially Margaretta Lemon 😆) just like the other boys.

Farewell Sleeps. We’ll miss you little fella. x

We’ve always had bronze turkeys (left) but we now have Norfolk Blacks (right & individual photo). First hatched today 🐣

Team Chicken Kev’s is back from a fab rare team holiday/ weekend away with friends. New experiences for both Spencer and Brie, first time on a beach. All loved it. Lovely place to stay. Dogs were very welcome… we wanted to eat their biscuits 🤣

Definitely a polytunnel day today. 1 1/2 Herberts helped us inside (we use that term loosely). 2 1/2 Herberts did their own thing.

RUNNING!!!

As soon as this girl could stand on her paws she started running. As a tiny puppy she would crash round the house, weaving in and out of furniture. She just loves it.

Eddie loves the chase.

We can’t get enough of those flappy ears 😆
