🍁🐾 Autumn Dangers for Pets — Stay Safe This Season! 🐾🍁

As the air gets crisp and the leaves start to fall, new seasonal hazards can pop up for our furry family members. Here are some things to watch out for this autumn:

🍄 Mushrooms: Many wild mushrooms are toxic to pets. If your dog or cat eats one, call your vet immediately!

🍬 Halloween Treats: Chocolate, xylitol (in sugar-free candies), and raisins are dangerous for pets. Keep those sweets out of paw’s reach!

🌰 Conkers & Acorns: These can cause tummy upsets or even blockages if swallowed. Keep an eye out during walks.

🔥 Bonfires & Candles: Pets can get burned or inhale harmful fumes. Always keep them safely away from flames and fireworks.

🧣 Cold & Dark Evenings: With shorter days, reflective collars or harnesses help keep pets visible on walks.

🌽 Seasonal Foods: Avoid giving pets leftover corn on the cob, onions, or fatty foods — they can cause serious digestive issues.

If your pet shows vomiting, shaking, drooling, or unusual behavior, contact your veterinarian right away.

SRS Naya's celebrated her 3rd birthday yesterday 🎉🎉

She had a fun day with an hours walk round trip to the local pet shop to pick out some treats and toys. Including a little birthday pupcake!

A huge and belated shout out to Broadleys Veterinary Hospital in Stirling. We were lucky to be invited to attend their funday earlier this year.
Not only did it give us the opportunity to raise awareness and funds….but we are delighted and honoured to have received a donation from Broadleys of £200.91! Thank you! 🤩
Broadleys helps animals throughout Scotland as it has many specialists who assess, diagnose and treat conditions, in addition to being a local vet for those in the Stirling area. ,

Some sad news to share. We were informed of the passing of SRS Buster yesterday. 🌈🐾
He was with his forever family for over ten years and made it to the grand old age of 15.
His owners said ‘He was a character. Devastated does not describe it. He loved a holiday and a snuggle to the end. Holding close the memories of our brilliant years together thanks to SRS.’
Our thoughts are with them 💔
